Many expected Manny Pacquiao's retirement would be short-lived, and it was, as he will return from an April victory over Timothy Bradley to fight Jessie Vargas in September. Many expect Floyd Mayweather Jr. will return soon as well, having hung up his gloves following a victory over Andre Berto a year ago.

Larry was correct, Mayweather did out box him! Everyone knew what Mayweather's game plan was, except maybe Freddie Roach:

      September 12, 2014:

Floyd Mayweather is a fighter whose legs are "shot" and would be vulnerable to the faster Amir Khan if a fight between them ever happened, according to Freddie Roach.

Roach, who was once Khan's coach and now trains Manny Pacquiao, has claimed that the 37-year-old Mayweather is not the fighter he once was ahead of his rematch with Marcos Maidana in Las Vegas on Saturday.

"I'm convinced his legs are shot," Roach told the Guardian. "Look at the first four rounds of the first [Maidana] fight.

"Great fighters in later years often go to the ropes as they slow down, but he got into trouble there. He was under a lot of pressure. Mayweather at his best would never fight like that."

      March 29, 2015:

Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach is confident the legs of WBO welterweight champion Manny Pacquiao will be the difference when he steps inside the ring with WBC/WBA king Floyd Mayweather Jr. in their long anticipated mega-fight on May 2nd from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

For over a year, Roach has been talking about the state of Mayweather's legs. He says Mayweather's legs are starting to go and that's why the unbeaten pound-for-pound king is starting to fight more often off the ropes - as he did in both fights against Marcos Maidana...

"I think Floyd’s legs are starting to go a little bit and if you watch Manny and his last fight with Algieri, he was on his toes for twelve rounds with Algieri the whole night. I think he has better legs than Mayweather and I think that’s gonna be the difference in the fight."

Great trainer! Base a strategy for Mayweather by a performance vs. Chris Algieri! BRIILIANT!

I was there... I was rooting for mayweather... But i swear to god.. I had no idea who the hell showed up to fight. Because I went to the Cotto fight, the canelo fight the first maidana fight.... and that was NOT floyd mayweather. That was the ugliest match ive ever seen, Especially knowing manny had a handicap, floyd did the 750ML of iV masking and he STILL couldnt put away this dude??? Not even do what he did to marquez??? COMON.... I was pissed that the guy i was rooting for, literally did nothing to impress the world or earn that 300 mil. I know my family didnt feel like this when they watched Ray leonard or Ali back in the day.

What's depressing is how many people would pay a ton of money to watch that **** even after seeing the first fight.

You were rooting for Mayweather but believe Pacquiao's shoulder injury was genuine and that the iv was to mask doping, think this must be the first time I've smelled bull**** over the internet,

Boxing will much better off when these two rip-off artist go away for good! How many times has Floyd so call retired? Manny was retired for about two weeks after the election was over! Go away guys!

Mayweather at 147 is a boxer he wins by outpointing his opponent.I knew he was going to do that to Pacquiao all along. In a rematch the same thing would happen no need to see it again
