Why do people keep bringing this up. The way Floyd fought manny he just wanted to get the W over him and get out the ring as soon as possible.

This is not the late 20's early 30's Floyd where he can take a year off and comeback and fight a world champion especially someone like manny who has been active if they did fight next year.

Roger mayweather is sick, Floyd is old so of course someone like Larry merchant would want floyd to come back so he can take the dust off of his over a decade and half old "I always knew Floyd would lose"speech that he never got to use.

What gets me laughing every time is the kind of morons on this site! Why do you watch the sport of boxing?? Its for the entertainment right???? What is entertaining about mayweather fighting scared and taking NO RISKS????? He has more people paying to see him lose than actual floyd fans pay to see him win!!!! The point im making is yeah, mayweather is a good boxer, "hit and not get hit back", that sounds good if you were in an actual street fight BUT, we are talking about the SPORT OF BOXING, where us fans pay to see entertainment. As a boxing fan I enjoy watching all types of styles, I like watching the sport of boxing not just a few particular fighters. A "boring" match to some may be a masterclass to others, so even if you don't like his style, I would at least hope you can appreciate the skill set.

I don't want Manny-Floyd 2, but I will say I believe a large majority of the boxing fan base has forgotten how Floyd boxed in his lower weights, or how he looked prior to 147, or pre 2007. We only reflect on his career at WW, when he was better at 130-135-140. I just don't get why people hate on his ability to adapt over his career.

And at the end of the day, for fans who want "blood and guts" boxing, the most boring fighter of our current era (to some) made more money than any athlete in any sport for multiple years. A guy who danced and ran around the ring was the face of our sport for a decade.

Time to move on.

IDK but im still not convinced, if manny got paid and was told to say that shoulder excuse, here are facts that go with it:

1. Why did he stop punching floyd when he got caught with a big shot and was on the ropes getting hammered? If a person runs alot and is hard to hit, the ropes is where you want to try and takeout your opponent right???

2. How in the **** are you able to still throw and raise your right arm if you so called torn your rotator cuff??

Now on to floyd's IV scandal:

1. Why and how on God's green earth do you get a TUE granted 18 days AFTER the fight????

2. Why do you need an IV in the first place and why wasnt it administered by a doctor? He had someone from his team give it to him!

3. To "supposedly" rehydrate, you only need 50ml of saline and thats the only amount thats allowed to be taken! BUT floyd used 750ml of the vitamins and saline and that has been proven to mask or dilute other substances that was taken!!!! You dont need a 700ml IV! Why take it?? No excuses on that!!!!

The verdict is, this fight was staged!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If that fight would've went the exact same way but with Pac doing what May did and winning, it would've been viewed differently and Pac would've been praised for outboxing Floyd and beating him at his own game.

No clinching is allowed. Its a rule , a rule refs dont enforce. Especially ward and floyd refs.

Your right Larry a 2nd fight will still be a bore fest. Floyd will stink up a boxing event to save his ass from get laid out on the canvas as he let the Vegas judge save his sorry ass again.

What you forgot to mention Larry. When the script is to just stay standing for 12 rounds and Vegas will save your ass. You don't need to take a necessary risks. Even if you don't connect, it's in the bag. Stay on script run, duck evade an energy diffusing bore fest of the least punch output of Floyd's career. Floyd will never lose that night as long as he was standing. Only in Vegas.

Lets face it no one whooped anyone's ass. This was not a real boxing match. This was a big hit for boxing as a sport. But it would have been best if the referee called the fight off after the 7th rd. The best outcome would have been a no decision.

The problem is judges are scoring professional fights like amateur bouts. Professional boxing is about punishment plain and simple. 30 or 40 years ago mayweather's style couldn't have existed because refs would have called on all the holding+judges scored more on punishment.
Floyd Mayweather Sr. was freaking out in Floyd in the corner! Saying he needed to "Jump on his *" his whole corner thought he was behind in the fight.
Mayweather lost because he was running more than he was fighting and plus Manny was the aggressor countering Mayweather a lot. Mayweather had to hold Manny push his head away because he getting whooped with combinations and counter punches from Manny. I never in my life seen Mayweather get countered so much he usually do all of the countering.
