Merchant's right, though. It's likely to happen again. Whether anybody wants it to or not.

Even though it'll be lucky to sell half of what the first fight did -- guess what, it's still the biggest money making fight in the sport. They'll sell it hard that Pacquiao was hurt and is healthy now, Manny will smoke Vargas and the chatter will begin. HBO is now firmly out of the picture so it's infinitely easier to make. Floyd will get bored (hell he is probably already bored) and he'll want another night in the limelight that includes another huge payday at the end of the rainbow.

Roll your eyes all you want but it's going to happen...and probably by early as mid-2017.

Oh and another thing that makes it that much easier:

Floyd has even more leverage now than he had the first time (a lot more) and will get an even bigger piece of the pie (although it'll be less money total, but regardless it'll still be a monster payday).

There's just way too many reasons for Floyd to want to do it. If y'all think Floyd doesn't miss walking out to the ring and doesn't miss those monumental paydays that comes with it then I don't know what to tell ya.

Happy that Merchant lived long enough to watch Mayweather box Pacquiao's ears off. I'm not surprised he's depressed because it has always been obvious that he wanted to see Mayweather leave the sport on his back and that he hoped Pacquiao would be the one to do it.

I was there... I was rooting for mayweather... But i swear to god.. I had no idea who the hell showed up to fight. Because I went to the Cotto fight, the canelo fight the first maidana fight.... and that was NOT floyd mayweather. That was the ugliest match ive ever seen, Especially knowing manny had a handicap, floyd did the 750ML of iV masking and he STILL couldnt put away this dude??? Not even do what he did to marquez??? COMON.... I was pissed that the guy i was rooting for, literally did nothing to impress the world or earn that 300 mil. I know my family didnt feel like this when they watched Ray leonard or Ali back in the day.

One fact for sure is Mayweather didn't put in 200 million dollars worth of effort.
Another interesting point is the great TUE swindle being used in sports. If you ain't fit, you're out. It's cheatetry, they're at it in athletics too.
Floyd wasn't at death's door, nor ate any of these athlete's getting TUEs, they just aren't in as good health as they'd like and they get enough people to back them. TUEs are a con.
