I dont know why you clowns think that Ward is some huge money bonanza for GGG. Newsflash: It isnt. Especially considering it would have been at a 50-50 split. Quit acting as though Ward is economically on par with Oscar, Cotto, or Canelo...............
Winner of Kovalev-Ward vs GGG is the biggest fight GGG can make hands down

Yeah let's assume DeGale would be difficult, not try and look for another dreg in that 160lb. division.

Floyd could do it because even moving up he was still a reasonable height, and has freakish long reach at his height..

Not to mention... he was 19? When he went pro. Regardless of what people say, height and reach are extremely important if you're moving up in weight and aren't as heavy as your opponent.

Benard Hopkins did it and he was older than golovkin

Floyd never moved up in his younger days because he wanted to he moved up because he had to his body had matured and outgrown what was possible he was merely moving up because it was healthy and beneficial to him the three cherry picks at 154lbs division were his only proper forced move up in weights people still don't understand anything to do with this weight issue possibly because they're fat lard asses who think well I can gain 2 stone in a month or two... well no **** you can do that but these are professional athletes you're either good for the weight or you're not.

168lbs is plausible though, 175lbs is just ludicrous If GGG was weighing 180-190lbs offseason when not fighting or just in his ring weight then people would have a point about him moving to 175lbs
Kell Brook or as some Yanks like to say Kall Brook was weighing 165-170lbs offseason and in the ring this is why the 160lb move was completely realistic and something Kell Brook had no problem with doing.

It's sad that so many of these guys don't know anything basic weights or fitness.

No boxer who could still make weight in own division has ever moved up 2 divisions for a fight that would earn him less money than he can make by staying where he is.

if you actually believe that GGG vs the Ward-Kov winner would be a bigger (monetary and exposure) fight than Canelo-GGG, then there really isnt any point in trying to have a sensible conversation with you........

Bernard Hopkins has the height and frame to carry that type of weight plus I don't know how old you are but your body as time goes on tends to change a bit, maybe Golovkin will outgrow 160lbs in due course.

Hopkins made the jump and he didn't weigh 185 when not fighting.

                      just one example.

like roy jones said Saturday night, when you cant get a big fight in your division you gotta go big game hunting for one.
