With Saunders' next fight already 6 weeks away, with no one announced for the fight, my guess is that Warren lines up some soft-touch euro fighter, as a live sparring session before taking a more serious fight.
The risk for a cut/injury is always there, but having an 8-week camp to get fit (before fighting some soft touch), and then having a hard 6-week camp to prepare for Alvarez isn't unheard of.Comment

Oh but they made an exception for Floyd? CANELO IS DUCKING MONROE! I'm joking obv but this Is what Canelo fans sound like when they accuse GGG of ducking Lara. How did GGG make a fight out of it though? Why can't Canelo do the same? He should take this fight to show he can box when they're not coming forward.
If the plan is really to stage Alvarez's next fight in December in NYC, Golden Boy/Canelo Promotions need to find a matchup that makes some kind of sense locally, limiting the options:
-Billy Joe Saunders (WBO 160 champ, East Coast location makes it easier for UK fans to travel) -Andy Lee (Irish boxer, a play for the Irish American fanbase in the Northeast) -Willie Monroe Jr (**** style, but his roots in NY should help business a bit) -Avtandil Khurtsidze (near no profile, but an exciting style matchup, also based in NY) A Lara rematch could work (as a pure play to the core boxing audience in NYC), but the business that that fight does, unless Golden Boy can partner with some NY-based matchups to goose the audience, we'll see. edit: completely forgot about Curtis Stevens (the profile of that fight is bunk, but Stevens has a name in NYC and fights in a style that would make for a good fight). Stevens is more and more likely the more I think about itComment

I'm sure you do, the guy is shot now. Monroe made him look ******.
Yet Canelo still needs two ****ing years to get ready for GGG. Strange.
Exactly when and how did Monore look impressive, relaxed, or did he have Rosado hurt? Go ahead and explain yourself.
If it was "easy" for him, why did he look pathetic the whole time? Monroe certainly won by a mile but he looked like he gave it all he had, without ever hurting the opponent or impressing anyone, and that was truly sad. You are sadder for trying to pretend that wasn't the case. (hint; you're being very transparent)
They're afraid. They know if they don't ko Monroe as fast as GGG did they'll look bad.Comment

CanelNO learned his lesson and that is to stay away from pure boxers. Only stationary targets from now on, or the straight ahead style. CanelNO's boxing abilities is average. He should not be on any P4P lists.Comment

Last night showed just how awful Monroe is. Had his hands full with a beyond shot Rosado and still couldn't hurt him or even put on a show.
I thought I saw talent in the guy once but I'll fully admit I was dead wrong.
Canelo should go after someone of substance; Jacobs, Eubank, Saunders. All fights he'd win. If he wants a tuneup, fight Lemieux. Easy fight and hbo did a nice job hyping David up in his last outing.Comment
