No surprise here. Canelo's an excellent boxer, but he doesn't push the envelope. He needs guys to come at him for the most part. When he has to be the aggressor, his effectiveness is cut by half.

No chance, he looked so fragile during the few moments when Rosado had him on the ropes and actually let his hands go. Monroe may box to an early lead, but Canelo would chop him the hell down inside six rounds.

some people are really ****** around here. Canelo ain't ducking no Monroe. Monroe ain't even on RING, ESPN, nobodies top 10 rankings. Most people have him ranked somewhere in the 15-20 rankings AT best for Middleweights. Stop acting like he's Lara who's style I hate by the way and lost because he ran like coward but least he is a world class fighter, world champ and elite one of the top fighters in his weight class. These descriptions don't apply to Monroe. Canelo has already BEATEN multiple fighters who do everything Monroe does but at a higher level.

Monroe is just not a top fighter and he's boring a phuk those 2 things automatically disqualify you from fighting canelo. He had a chance to put on a good show and get good exposure on the undercard this weekend and failed. It was the worst fight of the night and he was the ONLY fighter on the entire undercard to get booed. You think a single person in attendance or watching on PPV wants to see this fool fight again? And if they did fight not one of you people here are picking or betting on him to win. Rosado dropped this fool for christ sake (he was lucky the bell already rang and the ref didn't count it). But if Rosado had moments where he hurt him what you think Canelo will do when he lands shots? Canelo would beat him easily in a boring fight where he just runs from Canelo all night long until he get's dropped.

Stop pretending this guy is Lara or Floyd he ain't. His best wins of his career are Rosado and Vera. He is a GGG level opponent and one of the pathetic names we throw out there to clown GGG's resume. That's the only reason GGG fanboys are now hyping this idiot up and suggesting someone is ducking him. If Canelo fought him GGG fans would be screaming you see Canelo don't want to fight nobody good Monroe sucks. Don't believe me? Look up posts a week ago and what they were saying about Canelo fighting the winner of that fight.

Yeah I have ZERO interest in this one and I'm a huge fan of Skilled Boxing but with Monroe if you can't cut the ring off and take the fight to him like GGG did I can see why most would be bored and the crowd gets restless. Most thought Rosado would come forward and not try to BOX with Monroe Jr so it made for just a complete **** FIGHT

Avtandil Khurtsidze vs Willie Monroe Jr would be good though because Khurtsidze is going to take it to Monroe and bring relentless pressure so that would be a good option for Monroe Jr because I don't see him getting a big fight because fight fans today are too dumb down they want Knockouts and they have every right to choose what they like and demand what they WANT

Or Monroe could maybe head overseas fight a Tommy Langford which would be solid for him. Monroe would also be a step up for someone like Eubank Jr who I think needs to step up again before trying to jump in with GGG

If Canelo is preparing to fight GGG at 160 he shouldn't fight Monroe fight Lemieux and Stevens

Rob Brant is most definitely not a soft touch, imo; not sure if he's world-level, but he's a young, undefeated fighter with good pop. If Brant is the fight, the plan goes up in smoke.

Beyond that, it's not 6 weeks for Alvarez, it's basically two fight camps. Canelo's style is going to be his style.

Saunders needs to simply prepare to be the best Billy Joe Saunders that he can be.
