Two Fights a Year Isn't Enough

I can't blame the big stars for fighting twice a year (they usually fight elite fighters too). Not always easy for guys like Floyd, Manny, Cotto, DLH, etc to fight so many times when they usually have other ventures and are usually (Not always) fighting contenders/champions.
But these secondary stars should fight 3 times minimum.

Inactivity not only kills the sport, it also makes fighters lose momentum. When fighters stay active they stay sharp and in good shape like the ts mentioned. The big question is, is this self-imposed considering they make $1+ million per fight against nobodies, thus in no rush to fight? Or the system is so f#ckd up that fighting regularly is simply not possible? It could be a catch 22: overypay fighters fighting nobodies, thus staying inactive after won't hurt. Instead of paying them at reasonable amount to keep the system financially healthy, make more fights, thus make them active and demand more fights... It's a mess.

Maybe HBO should pay GGG less so he canfight a guy like Jacobs. You agree?

Yet, for Haymon guys like Danny Garcia, you complain about them being inactive when they also are fighting 2x in a year while facing the same level of competition. You complain about guys like Thurman that have fought once.
Why the double standard?

You haven't made one post or thread criticizing this.

Again, it seems ****** to demand 3-4 fights a year when 2 fights is a huge struggle. Don't you think so?Last edited by al-Xander; 10-25-2016, 10:06 AM.

I am not defending anything. I asked you specific questions which you keep avoiding. You attribute not fighting 3-4 times a year to being overpaid by Haymon.
Are the HBO guys overpaid now that they are fighting less than 3 times a year? SHould HBO pay guys less for easy fights to get them to fight more than 2x a year?
