The answer to your question is YES! The guys with titles at multiple divisions, are "greater." Sugar Ray Leonard is greater than Hagler! Pernell Whitaker is greater than Aaron Pryor! Kovalev can retire undefeated, but he won't be as great as Roy Jones Jr.! It is what it is!

I see where you did their friend and it's not working. Pep is considered greater than Leonard, Whitaker, and Chavez. That simple fact alone kills your argument.

A 126 lb fighter who never moved up is considered Top 10 of All-Time over Jones as well. Your argument is dead on arrival my friend and can't be revived.

Hopkins was champ @ 160 and 175! Oscar also made him come to to 157 at age 39. He came in @ 156 and got the stoppage! THAT'S GREATNESS! Besides heavyweights, most of the ATGs have been champions at more than one weight class!

Remember, BHop was world champ at 160 for 10 years and didn't move up till he lost his MW title and was beaten twice by Taylor.

I'm not sure I agree with that on its face. Leonard is greater than Hagler, but I don't think that means B-hop is greater than Monzon.

Plus, the higher classes are harder to move up. GGG if he started pro young could have started at 154, maybe should have.

MW to SMW is the hardest jump. I do think GGG will win a title at 168 and at least try for Ward or Kov.

I do think it augments though, but winning more titles in more classes doesn't automatically put you above.

If that was the case right now Canelo would be better than GGG, and I just don't think it's the case--especially since both of Canelo's titles were won buy beating a guy who was in the weight class below or belonged there.

Hatton and Cotto both gave up size. And even winning the title from Smith is good, but not great.

I think Canelo will be a hof though.
