  • No its because GGG is the star of boxing. They didnt hate him back when he wasnt as big.

If Kovalev had the same following he would have been hated just as much.

Hate is a good thing. Means you are doing well

Most Floyd/Ward fans don't like Lomachenko. They even support a Mexican brawler like Salido over a boxing technician like Lomachenko.

I don't, because both are US fighters and both have talked a lot of **** about Golovkin. The talking **** part of that is the reason why GGG fans talk **** about Ward and Floyd.

That's a good point. Notice how much of the criticism GGG gets here is centered around dissing his HBO PPV figures - even to the extent of lying about them - and crowing about him being the B side to Canelo, Cotto, and even Kell Brook.

It is also why Lil Gina gets these nicknames and is looked down upon by hardcore boxing fans and kovalev isn't. People who truly love the game just want to see Lil G tested, that's all.

When dude is walking through cats at 160, it's time to move up. Kovalev been doing the same, and if he wasn't facing the #1 P4P king Andre Ward, I would have been calling for him to move up to Cruiserweight to chase greatness, just like I call on Lil G to move up and become "Big G" at 168-175.
This doesnt make sense . GGG title defense opponents were all ranked in the top 15.

3 lineal champs avoided GGG as the mandatory
To the belts they held. Canelo cotto and martinez.

2 uk fighters in the top 10 have ducked GGG . Saunders openly said he wasnt ready . Eubank jr priced himself out says his own promoter.

2 american based fighters in the top 10 ducked GGG in jacobs who said he wasnt ready and quillen .

All of this is documented TS.

"the star" of boxing isn't even the biggest ticket seller and never had a big ppv event

stop reaching bro....he is a good fighter, has hype but not much substance on his resume

fans just want to see him in with better competition

              nothing is wrong with that

That is not true. They were always separate groups with some, but not a lot of crossover. Race baiting white posters always try to lump every black poster into the same box as a way to deflect from legitimate criticism their favorite fighter faces.

They use racially tinged language against a fighter, black fans call them out on this, and then suddenly every black poster is now a "fan" of that fighter. You should be careful not to do same if you do not want to be seen in the same light.

Race baiting white posters started to call Ward (add Broner, Wilder and Haymon) the same things they called Floyd. That prompted Floyd fans to speak up, not because they are Ward fans, but because he was getting attacked unfairly.

Fair enough, I'll modify my point: Most Floyd fans will instinctively take Ward's side in any Ward vs GGG debate that happens here. And, to be fair, I'll aknowledge something else: Most GGG fans will instintively take Kovalev's side in any who ducked who debate about Kovalev and Stevenson, and instinctively accuse Wilder of being responsible for his fight with Povetkin being cancelled, depite Povetkin's positive PED test.

To your point about the race baiting white posters - which came first, the chicken or the egg?

I've never posted a racist comment here, ever. But I've been called a racist many times, simply because I'm a GGG fan.

I've also noticed that many fans of "a certain demographic" tend to stereotype all Euro and Eastern-Euro fighters as stiff, straight line brawlers, or robots, and many fans of "a certain other demographic" tend to stereotype all Afro-American fighters as runners and spoilers.

In my opinion, this isn't happening because of out-right racism from either "demographic", but because of each side reacting to **** being thrown by the other.

                  • Kovalev is harder to hate because he doesn't get nearly as much attention/hype as Team GGG does. As soon as someone/something gets popular enough (or 'too' popular), people start becoming irrational.
