In what world is a career 140 lber bigger than Brook? he's a smaller guy by some margin.
Miguel Cotto did it the right way, me nor you can re-write history despite some of the diva bull£hit he has pulled off.
He didn't just jump up two weight classes and lose to Canelo. He has held World titles at Super Lightweight, Welter, Super Welter & Middleweight.

I like Kell but the move he pulled was a carbon copy of Khans with a hint of David Haye. He fooled the casual market with this PPV farce.
Eddie Hearn done what I would have done, sell my commodity for exuberant returns.

Miguel Cotto is/was a fantastic fighter. But that doesn't mean he's a bigger physical specimen than Brook when he clearly isn't.

As for the last bit, don't know anyone who complained it was PPV? Who complained? Two undefeated world champions. Both the best in their weightclasses against each other.

3 world title fights on the card. Callum smith, Conor Benn etc.

Don't see how it wasn't value for money + the main even was an absolute cracker and a war.

I mea, this is hardly Khan vs McCloskey or Haye vs Harrison we're talking about.

        • Canela better thank GGG for this gift because Brook's damaged goods with that broken eye socket ala manny beating up margarito for cotto

I parted with £17 because as you said both world champs, Haskins, Connor etc. It was definitely a good event.
I've followed Kells journey for a long time and I'd much rather he had faced Canelo this Saturday. It's just the logical and safest thing to do in Boxing. It's not like he's a one punch KO artist at Welterweight. I knew and I'm sure you knew the eventual outcome of the GGG fight. So in that sense it was a farce.

Hopefully he has a tune up fight with Khan at 54 just to shake off the ring rust before he jumps in with a Canelo or whoever is kingpin when he's healthy.

                • Id like to see brook vs cotto first at 154, I think kell would win that fight. Then brook vs alveres, it would be a good fight but if I'm honest I think canelo would win on points, possibly late ko

100% but the GGG fight came about when he was looking at not making any money in an easy fight vs Vargas. This fight had the whole boxing world talking about Brook. It was good for him. He only has a slight break in his eye socket - It was nowhere near as bad as margarito as some people have said.

Yeah sure, of course it was an uphill task. Not impossible though as we saw. I would even be up for a rematch. As would Brook. I don't think it was a farce, and he wasn't outclassed or destroyed as some people were expecting.

He's a very forceful puncher at welter. Don't see many lasting the distance with him outside the top guys. But he's not a devastating puncher. I don't think you need to be to beat GGG or Canelo or one of these guys.

I'm sure Khan would be down with that
