Why Didn't Andre Ward Accept 164, 50/50 when he was the b-side?

lmao true, we'll see Ward's star power this November tho, it would suck if he got only like 80K ppv buys

If the Ward v Kov fight only generates 80k buys, it would say more about the fans than the actual boxers...

I know GGG said 154-168 several years ago just like Ward said he would drop down to 154 for Mayweather. So that is a wash right there.

But at the time, that was a more than fair offer. #1 160 vs #1 168. Meet in the middle. And 50/50 when GGG had higher ratings.

Why did Andre tuck like a transgender?
The straight truth, Ward knew he would be shytehouse lucky to make 168 and 164 would be impossible. Despite offering 168 to Froch and Chavez Jr, team g string insisted on 164 for Ward. This killed any chance of the fight happening. Ward moved on to fight the light heavy weight killer Kovalev and g string fought the 3rd or 4th best welter weight

Ward offered to come down to 160 for Mayweather but not 164 for GGG?

Seems to be a duck to me.

so your excuse is Ward got fat. whose fault is it that this fight couldn't be made?

And team g string said they would fight anyone from 154-168, but won't fight Ward at 168, and despite being the best money fight available to them, wont fight Canelo at 155 and won't fight Lara at all.

Willing to fight Froch and Chavez Jr at 168 but not Ward, straight up DUCK!

Ward got fat? I realize you're new but do you know that Ward won his gold medal at 178lbs and that was years ago.

Ward's moved up to fight the consensus light heavyweight champion (the killer Kovalev) and g string moved on to fight the 3rd or 4th ranked welter weight (Brook). So who's avoiding quality opposition and who isn't?

it's like this demographic has brain damage

like i stated in the very first post. Ward offered to come down to 160 for Floyd by his own mouth. GGG's camp said 154 to 168.

That is a wash. do you know what that means? there's no point in going back and forth on that. just LMAO

The point is, GGG was #1 at 160 at the time of the offer, Ward was #1 at 168.

                Fair offer.

Whose fault is it Ward got fat and became as quiet as a rat pissing on cotton when he was publically called out?

I think at some point posters should understand that everything said in an interview isn't a part of negotiations. there was never a contract offer to ward where his team and GGG team sat down to negotiate a fight... and fighters saying they would go down for mayweather (bhop, ward, etc) were only saying it for the pay day it wasn't serious talk. at some point you have to be an adult and discern things.

so ward was so scared of GGG that he went up to fight a more dangerous fight?
