Why would I want to see that? I m a GGG fan, and I don't want see fighters getting bludgeoned half to death.

I think pretty much any reasonable boxing fan agrees with you.

The usual suspects though will not. But who cares.

I couldn't have agreed more with the TS. Brook as game as he was, reached his limit by round five and had gone into survival mode. So his trainer made the right decision.

By the time of the stoppage he was no longer being competitive but brave. He could no longer protect himself and that's very dangerous against a hard puncher like Golovkin. He was physically spent and could have been seriously hurt.

Brook was merely surviving on just his championship heart, guts, will and instincts.

Everyone I watched it with agreed with the stoppage as well. Brook took too much damage at that point to come back. From the get go you could tell Brook was severely outgunned even though he was landing here and there. Kell is going above and beyond to avoid shots and Golovkin is literally just walking straight towards him with what looks like no real concern for defense. At the beginning of round 5 the pressure got to Brook and when Golovkin had him against the ropes in the beginning of that round it was downhill from there. Kell was getting put against the ropes a lot more and was getting hit hard and even though they weren't flush one of them was bound to land eventually over the course of the next 7 rounds probably even that round. Plus if you take a look at the final couple of seconds before it is officially stopped, Golovkin is swinging for the fences putting practically everything into his shots it looks like. It's a really good thing one of those didn't land before the ref saw the towel.

I'd have loved to see a stone cold KO, don't get me wrong, but his corner saved him from permanent damage.
It was clear a stone cold KO wasn't coming. Even against a welterweight with one eye.

I could create a separate thread for this comment but I won't I just hope the same people applauding Kell Brook and acknowledging the stoppage as being correct are as accepting for Victor Ortiz quitting when he had his jaw broken against Josesito López.

I stood up for Victor quitting when he had that broken jaw can't fault him for it but don't get me wrong I can see where the blood hungry crowd are coming from you pay money to see a fight you want to see a definitive ending to it.

                      Lmao, delusional...

You seen how Kell Brook was like in the 5th round he was getting toyed about with why else do you think Kell was holding as much and moving away at every given chance?

He was ripe for the taken minus the orbital bone being smashed he'd gave still quit, Golovkin was just too good If Brook was a proper talent 3G's would have took him more seriously but he never once did he just winged out with shots showing absolutely no respect to him.
