It's quite understandable why you get desperate to get your man out of there ASAP when the crowd goes nuts every time he has some success, that stuff sticks with the judges.

He probably felt there's no way he could let it get to a decision because Kell Brook is very good and he will have his moments of success during the fight against anybody as long as he's still able to fight. As long as he's having his moments and the crowd are going wild then he could clearly win maybe 3 rounds and still get a decision as long as he threw a few good punches in every other round.

I guess he felt Brook can't hurt him so the best thing is to bulldoze him and force a stoppage. It was very sloppy at times though and Brook was very good at times.

I'd hope to see a more measured approach in future. We know he can be more patient. I don't really give Jacobs much of a shot to beat Golovkin but you can't be that open against a guy who really can crack. Even the best of chins can be cracked. Look at Froch, he had a hell of a chin and he was so sloppy in the first round against Groves that he got really hurt in the first round because Groves carries a good right hand, Froch was lucky it was at the end of the round because he really was hurt.

Anybody can be hurt with the right shot. I'm a fan of GGG but he might learn that the hard way one day and end up being hurt by someone he should be beating. It's happened to plenty of others.

This fight discussion is all about GGG getting hit and that happened because he forgot to employ his basics.
When he used his jab Kell felt it and knew he couldn't stay in front of him.
He could have and should have fought like he did against Lemmiux, using the double jab to catch up and also avoid the right hand over his jab. He's been open for that punch for yerars. The double jab actually defends against the counter right............................(unless you counter with a right upper cut)
      he's open for that too.

I agree, he should have fought like he did with Lemmiux. I am a GGG fan but I am also going to say it like it is, I don't think GGG means or wants to get hit, it's just that his his defense is not top notch but he compensates it with his power. It will be interesting to see what happens when he faces someone who can take it but also dish it back; however, there isn't anybody at middle or Jr. middle that can dish it back at the moment but who know its boxing the right punch at the right time and it's lights out.

Site is starting to become a playroom for little girls. First they build guys up Choco , GGG, then if they have a tough fight or not a perfect one they knock them down as bums need a moderator ex boxing champ trainers etc. weed out feeble minded posts

I'd say he was very sloppy, little is an understatement.

Exactly, if GGG is sloppy against someone who can crack not matter how solid his chin, it can definitely get checked. His head movement needs improvement, however he keeps his chin tucked which is a bug reason why we haven't seen him get wobbled. However, It's boxing and anything can happen.

come on now... ya'll know that lilg lets his opponents punch him in the face. And dont forget how he outboxed lemule! Or if his opponents last more than like 2 or 3 rounds is because ggg let it happen and he carried them.

Folks claiming GGG fought the way he did because he didn't feel Brook was a threat are lying to themselves, and everybody else. Yes, we've seen GGG box in spots against bums like Lemieux. But when he's in with a legitimate top level fighter, he is what he is. And that's a face first brawler with subpar defense. And exceptional offense. There was no way he was gonna outbox Brook. And when he tried, he was outclassed in spots. He won this fight because he was the bigger, stronger man. He could take Brook's shots. And Kell couldn't take his. There's no other analysis needed.
