This is why GGG is not a great fighter, now!
He let his emotions take over and lost the game plan.
These fighters are human and everyone has weaknesses but great fighters don't make minor mistakes like he did.
I like this kid because watching a good puncher with decent boxing skills is fun for me. I'm tired of runners who use the excuss that running is boxing because it's NOT! Pep, Canzaneri, Charles, Robinson, Ali, Leonard all used movement and circled but they also stepped to their opponents and engaged them with combinations. When they felt they could back them up they did! Thats boxing!


When this kid uses his double jab, stays low and punches inside before going outside he is a handful for anyone!

He was def. sloppy but he wasn't gonna fight brook like he did Lemmiux cuz brook doesn't have that one punch KO power. Brook was bound to get caught, GGG had his best success cutting off the ring in the 4th and the 5th and that's when it was game over.

It was just his approach for this one, he could have boxed Brook but he hardly used his jab, for instance. When Gennday sees no real threat he often walks the opponent down and breaks him.

It was weird how sloppy he was and considering how cool & collected GGG usually is. He was following Brook around the ring instead of cutting, throwing telegraphed and loaded up punches and stopped jabbing after the first round. Went from a technically sound boxer to an amateur puncher in one round. The weirdest part was him getting hurt by Brook, he seemed pretty buzzed at least twice.

Only time he kept his composure was when he began to tee off because he knew the end was near.

This guy literally fights like chavez Sr. Its beautiful and a sight for sore eyes. GGG is a throwback.

He should have fought using the jab as the distance finder to avoid unnecessary
contact from Kell. Abel was telling him to stop throwing wide and go up the middle with straight shots. Makes no difference if Kell's power was in play GGG can still get bruised up or cut or both!
This fight discussion is all about GGG getting hit and that happened because he forgot to employ his basics.
When he used his jab Kell felt it and knew he couldn't stay in front of him.
He could have and should have fought like he did against Lemmiux, using the double jab to catch up and also avoid the right hand over his jab. He's been open for that punch for yerars. The double jab actually defends against the counter right............................(unless you counter with a right upper cut)
