But when he's in with a legitimate top level fighter, he is what he is. And that's a face first brawler with subpar defense. And exceptional offense. There was no way he was gonna outbox Brook. And when he tried, he was outclassed in spots. He won this fight because he was the bigger, stronger man. He could take Brook's shots. And Kell couldn't take his. There's no other analysis needed.

This is barely coherent, but I'll try.

You can be a big puncher and offensive fighter. But, you have to be defensively responsible at the top levels of the sport. And GGG has gotten less and less defensively responsible almost every time out. And folks wanna dismiss it as him allowing himself to be hit. Or not caring that he's hit because its not hurting him. And that's the biggest crock of **** since many of the same folks were claiming Manny looked bad in the 3rd JMM fight to lure Floyd into fighting him. GGG uses little to no head movement. He's slow and robotic. He can't fight on the inside or going backwards. And he can't transition from defense to offense. Those are the makings of a poor defensive fighter, which he is.

Ok so let me get this straight. Before the fight GGG fans were saying that Brook was his best opponent so far. Then after the fight where Brook made GGG look bad and exposed his defense at times suddenly it was all GGG's doing? Which one is it? Is Brook his best opponent so far? Or was it a total mismatch and GGG chose to get hit flush on the face?

No world class fighter stands and takes one flush combination after another on purpose. They do it when they don't have a choice. And because of Brook's handspeed and counterpunching, GGG didn't have a choice. Fortunately for him, he could take Brook's shots better than visa versa. And that's what won him the fight. But pretending that he was intentionally getting tags with multi-punch combos is just silly.

GGG knew Brooks had 0 chance of hurting him and thus he went in there with 0 regard for defense.

He wouldn't fight that recklessly vs Saunders, Canelo, or Jacobs.

Love him or hate him he's exciting and this is great for boxing.

At a time when fighters duck each other and the great fights aren't made and the UFC is making those fights and stealing our audience we should be grateful for guys like GGG.

Hating on someone good for the sport is just sad.

You only have to look at sites like this and see how much more involvement there is whenever it's a GGG thread to recognize that he's important to us all.

Hate all you want, but at least try to appreciate that you're lucky he's here.

                  Its both in reality.

Kell was/is the most skilled opp that GGG has fought imo, and yes he showed how sloppy GGG can get and got tagged more than a few times. The uppercut he took was a lovely shot.

Was it a mismatch yes: He's two weight below and ate 9 meals a day to to able to pack all that extra muscle on. Plus the power showed to, I mean its not really a freak accident that he broke his eye socket. The bigger more powerful man did that to a smaller man. Pretty much why weight classes exist. I really wanted Kell to win, however I predicted as 99% of people did on here that it would end badly for him and it did.

Imo to beat GGG you have to be bigger man to absorb the punishment he kicks out, anyone generally the same size or slightly smaller its just not going to end well for them. He needs to move up in weights to be properly tested I don't think anyone can touch him at light middle or mw, he hits just to dam hard. Someone like Canelo for example could be up on the cards early and GGG can just end it at any moment, he has that equalizer power which no one else has.

Fighting Billy joe will be pointless, he will most likely get stopped inside 5rnds same as Kell. Eubank is all hot air, Canelo won't go near him.

The dude just needs to move up.

When he used his jab again the fight ended a round later. He fought sloppy because he could get away with it. We've seen that he doesn't fight that way with someone who can make him pay for it.
When have we seen that? Punch stats show that he get hit about 30-35% of each punch thrown in each fight. He just doesn't have defense. He was no more sloppy than he has ever been, he was just in with someone who had a greater skillset than previous opposition.

If GGG had a real trainer he would be ten times better of a fighter. It's obvious that he's fighting on natural ability, just listen to the corner between rounds...
