I like this fight for both fighters next. Jacobs needs to come out like he did against Quillin, he has to pressure and put Gennady on his back foot, Jacobs best chance imo is in the early rounds. I don't think Jacobs has the punch resistance to last an entire 12 rounds, and if he can't hurt Gennady or control the ring then he loses, probably by TKO/KO. Regardless though, I think Jacobs should take it this time and not try and price himself out, he can actually gain a lot more by taking the fight and giving Gennady his best fight yet.

Jacobs has real power. Something that Golovkin has yet to face in his career. He also has boxing ability. He is also 6' in height. Jacobs would be Golovkin's best opponent to date. It's a fight that should happen.

This is incorrect. I know the IBF rules quite well, and when a mando is due, they just keep going down the rankings until they find someone who is willing and able. You dont get a "pass" just because the #1 guy is injured. All Loeffler did was to ask the IBF to expedite the process so they didnt waste a bunch of time......

Actually I was correct. The mandatory defense wasn't due until mid July. As such, they didn't have to fight a mandatory in April as I stated. They could have waited to fight the mando later. They could have easily decided, we don't want this guy Wade....let's fight the mando later and get some better for April. No waste of time.
