Maybe he felt he desperately needed the stoppage against Brook because the judges would screw him in a decision. Didn't Hearn claim that the judges' cards had Brook ahead?

Did you see the punch stats? Why did the judges have Brook ahead??

Anyway, if that's true, Golovkin was smart to go all out.

Brook won round 4 I think it was, pretty obviously. One of the other rounds could have gone his way too and the opening was 50/50, so it was possible to have him ahead. But it wouldn't have stayed that way for long and Brook knew it.

GGG was obviously looking to get Brook out of there ASAP and make a statement. Kudos to Brook for hanging in as long as he did, dude has a good chin. It was a business fight and had a typically business ending, but it still was better than anyone expected.

That was a fun fight and I was initially annoyed by the stoppage but Brook had been fading really fast since early in the fight. Golovns jab is monstrous and to make matters worse he was outjabbing Brook all throughout.

no, I make brook sound like a........welterweight. a welterweight that made golovkin go to his final gameplan of "size" if golovkin had to throw out his gameplan and rely strictly on desperate haymakers & size thats telling. ab knew by the 3rd round they weren't outboxing brook. golovkin just doesn't have the skills for that. so he screamed at him to to use size and go crazy. thats what happened and even ab said it between rounds.


it waters down the win because we already knew golovkin was a middleweight & if golovkin was as good as he's said to be there was no way he should have had to skip his entire plan & rely strictly on size and wild haymakers.


it truly makes brook look better.

love how everyone considers GGG to just instantly not be that good,wheres the credit for Brook,this is what happens when you put two tremendous fighters in with each other ragarless of weight for a few rounds at least,no wonder carl froch claimed nightmare when he sparred 3 rounds with brook i imagine brook frustrated froch and boxed his ears off

however the weight does take its toll along with GGGs knack for taking a punch,brook would give anybody fits,lets stop saying GGG was exposed and just give credit to brrok for putting up a sensational fight

Look at Gamboa crawford,despite weight differentials that was a touch and go fight but weight eventually came into it and reach

Brook earned my respect however i doubt he will be the same fighter again with such an injury,but i know in my head he could have beaten any ww and he would have smashed amir khan had they met prior to this fight

nah that happens with any fighter. when Floyd got beat up vs maidana it was on purpose to give the fans an exciting fight lol. then the next fight he gave them another exciting fight by clinching 100 times
