I see this shit going to purse bid, Jacobs complaining about the money, and then giving away the belt.
If DiBella/Haymon win the bid, and Golovkin simply walks away from the WBA belt, what are you going to say then?

I concur. I agree that Jacobs has power but not enough to bother GGG who will be on the attack walking through Jacob's power and throwing atom bombs, which Jacobs won't be able to take. GGG in 6 or less.

His defense will be much better vs a dangerous puncher, and can actually be elite defense in terms of plus/minus, but since he's so aggressive, he will get hit by clean shots and clean combos from time to time. Jacobs can hurt anyone with the right punch or the right one-two combo.

The most challenging fights for GGG right now are Ramirez, Jacobs/Degale/Canelo (can't separate them really without seeing it), and Eubank jr, in that order, because those guys all have athleticism and power, like Brook had, much more than someone like Saunders who GGG would just walk through. I hope we see one of those fights before GGG gets any older because I do worry no one good will fight him until he's truly passed his prime, then his speed will go and he won't be able to connect with the power early in the fight, then his stamina will go and he will gas, and then he will get lit up and lose, and all the haters will come out saying "see I knew he ******. I had to wait a decade to prove it, but I knew it! The first time he fought the elite level, he lost." Well yeah if no one elite would step up to fight him until he was clearly passed it, then it's obviously quite possible for him to lose that first fight.

That's why I think Loeffler would have been smart to get that legacy fight when he was 32 or younger, whatever the money, and just shut those doubters up. Let GGG prove that in his prime, he was elite, and then if he does end up losing when he's 36, 37, 38, people will at least know the truth that he aged like every other offensive fighter does in his 30s.

But those are the fights I want. Ramirez is extremely dangerous, they better do that before GGG gets old even if he wins the fight, he will be old by the time it's over. Degale is a versatile much bigger guy. Jacobs two huge punchers, speed and power vs less speed and insane power. Canelo extremely snappy powerful punches and a good chin. Those are the fights to make. Saunders would be good for like the Monte Carlo fight. That's the kind of fight that is, Martin Murray part 2. The other fights are real, dangerous matches against athletic guys. None are actually "dangerous" so long as GGG is in his prime, he would sweep every round in his prime, but at 34 almost 35, we don't know that's the case, so they should make those asap.

Boxing don't work like that fella'.

GGG drops his hands and pulls straight back against EVERYBODY he fights...he can't help it.

It's the way he is and it will be his downfall.

Second off, Golovkin allowed to bypass the mandatory with Jacobs in favor of a unification with Saunders. That's what happened to Golovkin when Sturm was finally mandated with a deadline, last second Sturm got the unification fight with Geale and bypassed GGG.

              December
              Golovkin/Saunders
              Jacobs/Blanco (yuck)

              March
              Golovkin/Jacobs

March is a better ppv month for Golovkin/Jacobs, and NYSAC will probably have amended the insurance bill by then.
K2's still seemingly not willing to pay Saunders' asking price (and I doubt that they'd be willing to short Golovkin's money to try and make the fight either).

You add that Billy Joe Saunders also currently has his return fight scheduled for the end of October, and you can pretty much dead the idea of Saunders fighting again in December.

That's untrue. Loeffler said they came back and worked out a deal to get BJS his $4mill, but BJS walked away (probabyl b/c it hinged on UK ppv buy rates?)

Sounds like you know more about how K2 is willing to do business than K2 does. You shouldn't be wasting your time on a message board.

Saunders and Warren have both said BJS would fight on the Fury/Klitschko undercard on Oct 29th and be back for a big fight in December. That's their claims.

Sounds like you know more about how Warren/Saunders are willing to do business than Warren/Saunders do. You shouldn't be wasting your time on a message board.

maybe you should apply your "canelo-GGG" model to this fight, and being that GGG is the draw and not Jacobs, that means Jacobs should take whatever crumbs are offered from GGG and then make billions next time out.....

Dare to be great, right?? lol
for a person who was allegedly a fight promoter, you're ****ty with numbers; DiBella wouldn't have to bid $6m for the fight, he'd simply have to bid more on the fight than K2 seems willing to bid.

With the fight in hand, Lou DiBella would control the fight revenues, and, as Jacobs' promoter, would cut Jacobs in on the upside on the event. No different than what Golden Boy was able to do on the bid for N'Dam-Lemieux; they got the bid on a lowball, yet Lemieux's actual payday (as the 25% side of the bid) was allegedly well over $1m while N'Dam made ****.

The "Canelo-GGG" model doesn't apply, for the simple fact that Golovkin is nowhere near the proven draw that Alvarez is.

The simple fact of the matter is there's more money on Jacobs' side (commitment from Barclays Center/Showtime) than there is on Golovkin's side (MSG/HBO) for the fight.

keep ignoring reality if you want.
