Maidana wasn't "great" when Khan beat him, but he was a good prospect/contender at the time, a dangerous fighter. Khan barely survived that fight and ducked a rematch. Not long after Maidana stopped one of the most hyped fighters at the time Ortiz and made him a quit for the first time as a professional.

I don't consider it a great win on Khan's resume because he almost doesn't win the fight and that matters.

But I do have a problem with calling any version of Porter better than the best version of Maidana. Maidana is severely underrated in general, lol.
Well Danny Garcia did it the second time around, Pacquiao etc. Maidana was expected to walk right through him. And obviously he didn't.

Yeah he was a good fighter. not taking that away from him - But Shawn Porter was an undefeated world champion with major notoriety behind him and a big favourite to win that fight.

It's clearly Khan's best win though, all things considered.

The best version of Maidana i.e. the one that fought Broner/Mayweather might be better than Shawn Porter. However, that's far from the version that fought Khan.

I agree with the last part.

And we can agree that Fury is going to hurt Wlad badly in November.

Head to head it's hard to envision a scenario in which Khan doesn't get stopped by Brook.

Brook appears to be a full level above Khan.

Brook would KO khan if they ever fight.

Brook is the better fighter but Khan has the better resume. Ask when their careers is over because we should see more of Brook.

LacedUp I know you saw what I posted. I'm still waiting for your response. Which criteria do you use to say Brook is the greater fighter. Who has more accomplishments? The better wins? And world titles?

This is not the question. Who is greater, i.e. who has the better, more relevant boxing career and achieved more in their respective careers?

Because he's a better fighter. How hard is that to understand?

Khan won 2 world titles off Malignaggi and Zab Judah in his career. What an accomplishment

Why is Brook better? Ranking someone on achievements, which is essentially what a greatness ranking is, shouldn't take into account a mythical basis on who would win. Can't you put forward a better, more boxing oriented argument?

Khans best wins are HOFer Judah, Paulie who would go onto win a world title yet again (that title would then go form Broner to Maidana to Mayweather), including wins over Alexander, Kotelnik, Maidana and Algieri.

All of these guys were future, current or future title world holders.

Brooks only top class win, in 30 years and 30+ fights is Shawn Porter.

                    Which is greater?
