Comments Thread For: Andre Ward: Beating Kovalev Would Make Me Inarguable No. 1 P4P

Roman "Chocolatito" Gonzalez has assumed the top spot on most mythical pound-for-pound boxing lists. BoxingScene.com, The Ring magazine and espn.com are among the media outlets that rank the unbeaten WBC flyweight champion as the No. 1 boxer, pound-for-pound, in the world. Ranking boxers from different weight classes on the same list obviously is a subjective science, but count Andre Ward among those that are certain he and Sergey Kovalev will fight for boxing's pound-for-pound championship November 19 at T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas (HBO Pay-Per-View; $69.95 in HD; $59.95 in SD).

Very possible with a masterclass over Kovalev. It comes down to how you perform not just the win ; skill must be accounted for. I got the feeling Kovalev just to spite Ward will purposely make it a very dirty fight ruining his performance as such making it a hollow victory...and by doing so provoking a cry for a rematch from the public......kinda like Pacquiao.

Not if Chocolatito beats Cuadras! He'll become the number 2 p4p.

Note: Kovalev has already issued the warning of breaking Wards hands in a report earlier this week.....the writing is on the wall Kovalev is going to cost Ward P4P through rough house tactics.

He's right...he's already "arguably" the best and a win over Kovalev will solidify..

Yeah if it's a clear W, then it would be really hard to argue it.
