pbc is dog****, always has been and always will be. Bunch of top fighters beating up people not on their level, with the odd exception.
What's going on with PBC?

spot on, repped.Basically, chickens are coming home to roost. You overpay fighters for fighting meaningless fights, then expect them to want ten times more for meaningful fights. Look at what's happening. Tens of mouth-watering fights are supposed to get made and they're rotting instead. Fighters are available; they're in the same stable, thus no promotional issues; but they're not fighting each other.
So now the only affordable fights that can be made are between no name fighters. The ones that were built up for years and at a costly price are in limbo. Most of them will just be added to the fantasy fights list that will never become reality.Comment

That right there, fighters have been making a million for a fight for decades, inflation dictates that a million isn't that much money anymore. The people saying they get paid to much are people like promoters who stand to benefit if boxers take short money, a boss always wants to keep his employees getting paid the least possible amount and will work to make sure that occur.I keep hearing you screaming about 'overpaid' boxers but you can't seem to tell us what the right amount they should be getting.
Please define what exactly is 'demanding too much money'. What is 'too much money'? Exactly how much should a boxer be getting? And what do you base this on (besides the promoters claiming it is too much money)?
Considering your position on this, should be a fairly easy question for you to answer.
Like for example saying they can't make a profit with those high wage costs, or that they aren't worth it. You certainly don't like another party coming in paying better because talent will naturally flow that way but making less money is always a bitter pill so rather talk about the other guy than taking the corrective action.Comment

Boxing was a much bigger sport then. When your million dollar cards get beat by Cops reruns, then youre paying too much. And if some guy is throwing unsustainable money at fighters, you just wait him out. That right there, fighters have been making a million for a fight for decades, inflation dictates that a million isn't that much money anymore. That or maybe they're gonna slow down in the Football months.
Oct 8 NBC-SN
Oct 15 SHO
Oct 22 NBC
Nov 12 Warren-McDonnell card (no network yet)
Nov 26 SHO
Dec 10 (no network, opposite Canelo on HBO)
Dec 16 Spike
Dec 17 NBC
We know that's it for Spike, but probably more for SHO, CBS and NBC. Not to mention BounceTV, NBC-SN and FS1. ESPN will be back in April.
Maybe someone can compare this to last year Oct-Nov-Dec schedule and see if there is much difference.Comment

Are the oct 15 and 22nd cards still on? Those are only a few weeks away. They are cutting it close.Comment

[QUOTE=-DSG-;17023005]If nothing by next week I say the 15th show is scrapped for another date. It's been rumoured for about 2 months now. Maybe promotional issues. It's supposed to be Richard Schaefer first event. That or maybe they're gonna slow down in the Football months.
