Welcome to how the world works, not just in the sport of boxing. Fame is fleeting. Anyways you absolutey have to entertain fans and please critics etc etc. They are who pay the fighters checks without them there is no boxing. I don't want to hear no **** about the risk, they chose to be a fighter, ****ing act like one. It would be like a cop showing up to a bank robbery and being like, "I'm not paid enough for this. I'm going to sit this one out and come back tomorrow when I only have to deal with someone jaywalking". Its a ridiculous argument. No one is forcing these guys to be fighters.

for example how can you justify 1.5 million dollars purse for a guy that fights in a half empty arena and that does shitty numbers on tv? money grows on trees

He's nothing more than a groupie. He will defend boxers (only the ones he likes, mind) even if it means shitting on the sport he is supposed to love.
