No, it means posters should criticize GGG for not taking the biggest offer of his career same as they did BJS. The PPV upside piece is not that big of a deal, he can make the money back down the road as others have.

    As to paragraph 2:

Really, being offered your biggest payday ever is a garbage deal? Geez. I get your point and all I can say in response is what good does that do? You don't get the big stage nor do you get the big payday and its right back to square one.

Your play is financially ******, especially since GGG would likely win easily . Make $7-8 mil flat and then start making $10plus and be the face of the sport or keep making $2-4 mil on HBO?

    as to point 1:

people (such as yourself) are ALREADY criticizing GGG for "turning down" an offer that they havent even received yet lol. Its laughable. DLH kicks the can a year down the road and now makes some ****** reference to a flat fee and you guys are acting as if GGG just turned down $46 billion million gazillion dollars or something........lol

    and to point 2:

without knowing what the offer is, nobody can say whether its smart or not to turn it down. If the offer was $6 million for a fight that should pay $15-$20 million (assuming over a million buys, etc), then yes, its a garbage offer and should be declined. Everyone likes to talk about "oooooo but next fight 50 mills doe" etc etc, but nothing is guaranteed. Knocking out Roy didnt get Tarver a string of 8 figure paydays, and a fighter could very easily suffer a career ending injury in their very next fight, so "donating" $10 million or more to Canelo's retirement account is simply ignorant.......

tell me ONE fight (besides maybe a Cotto rematch) that would generate as many buys as Canelo-GGG.

      just one......

      I'll wait.....
Name one PPV fight for GGG besides Canelo?

I did not criticize him at all. I called out his hypocritical fans and said IF he does what BJS did, call it the same.

Fair point, but the reality of the sport is the big fish eat the little ones at the negotiating table. If everyone took that advice a lot of fights would never get made.

that isnt the argument. EVERYONE agrees that Canelo is the biggest possible fight for GGG.

The argument some of you are tragically trying to make is that Canelo can make just as much money fighting other fighters, which simply is not true.

but nice attempt to dodge the question.......

and the flip side to that coin is that if the majority of fighters quit prostituting themselves at the negotiating table, alot of this diva nonsense would stop......

There WAS a split for Oscar-Mayweather.

Floyd was guaranteed $10 million, and actually made $25 million. Where exactly do you think the other $15 million came from genius?

I was going to post my source but your dumb ass already did it for me.

A person close to the promotion said De La Hoya would end up making about $45 million for the fight and Mayweather just over $20 million. That person requested anonymity because the promoters did not want official figures released.

It's not that big a deal. In a lot of professions you take a short term loss for future gain. Other fighters have done same and came out ok. GGG is that good he can do same IMO.

UK TV lol. It's box nation at 3am. Box nation in prime time is already peanuts.
