It's give and take. We know GGG and his team want the high profile win to help him crossover into the mainstream. Boxing fans want to see him in with a top opponent. Canelo gives him the opportunity to get that signature, career defining win and the chance to go mainstream.

He takes less, kills Canelo, and then gets more down the road. what is so wrong with that?

An inference was made that because Saunders DID in fact duck by not accepting (or even countering) a reasonable offer (flat-fee plus likely $$$ from UK ppv), that magically somehow means that GGG should accept a flat-fee deal for a superfight with Canelo, likely the biggest fight that can be made in the sport for the next few years?

Not every fighter is a ********** willing to bend over and gratefully accept a garbage deal and say thanks massa. If I were representing GGG, I wouldnt even entertain a flat-fee offer for a Canelo fight unless it was 8 figures, and even then the rematch language had better be in his favor after he ghouls ginger.......
