OK, btw, when are we gonna see Viloria or Calderon on a Boxing After Dark card or something like that? Ricardo Lopez was a national hero in Mexico, when was the last time America had a Golden Boy type fighter at 108? When was the last time you went to the water cooler at work and heard "Man, did you catch that Darchinyan fight last night?"

America simply doesn't have any champions in the lower weight divisions. Those divisions are dominated by spanish and asian fighters. If I remember correctly, Americas only had but 2 flyweight champions (M. Johnson and Romero). The truth is that if there isn't an American champion, the Americans dont wanna be bothered.

Nah, I hear it all the time. I work in a Japanese grocery store, and asians love boxing. I live in a spanish neighborhood, and spanish people love boxing. I talk boxing nonstop everywhere I go.
