        Well yea sho would have to make sure arum is on board with working with haymon first. But bob really doesn't have much leverage

The UFC will never appear on HBO because UFC handles their own production, have their own announcers, etc - and that doesn't work for HBO, who are always in charge of the production and on-air talent. That was the biggest sticking point in their negotiations and neither side is willing to budge on that.
          And they've been kicking themselves in the @ss since from what I heard. But your right on the other stuff.

            HBO is super smart. Thats why they are why there are where they are at in a bigger game than the boxing game. They are smart & innovative. And if they start spending more money on combat sports in the next 5 years or so it'll be because they picked up the UFC's TV contract that Fox currently has until 2018 or 2019 iirc. MMA is on more of a uptrend than boxing these days & its only going to get bigger & make more moves with these new owners. Plus I think HBO would provide great coverage of UFC events & it'll probably give them a nice bump in subscribers on top of that.
