He was scaling down to 168 to fight smaller guys, unlike GGG who is a natural middleweight, not a "scaled down super middleweight."

Even so, GGG would fight anyone at 168, but who is there that is a bigger fight than the guys at 160? Froch? They almost had a deal then Froch retired, like everyone else, scared of GGG. Chavez Jr. found an excuse too, just like everyone else. Degale? Have you heard Degale chasing a GGG fight? He' not a big name anyway. Ramirez? That is the biggest fight for GGG at 168 currently unless Chavez jr. builds his reputation back up, and they've said they would do it, except Top Rank doesn't want to put Ramirez in there with GGG until next year.

That's how it works with GGG. Haven't you noticed? Everyone is dying to fight him, just uhh, not right now...

Y'all haters all need political correctness lessons lmao. Ya'll "blaming the victim" constantly. No matter how many fighters duck GGG, in his weight class AND the one above, y'all still find a way to blame him. The hate is real.
How is it hating by statting the obvious? Canelo is dodging him. He can't sit around and harp on it. He has to move on. He doesn't have that much left on his career to be chasing one guy who is scared of him. If that's hating, then I'm a hater.

EXACTLY!!! I was going to buy the GGG/Lemuix fight because all the GTards hyped up Lemuix like he was some bad @ss. Then saw the 20-1 odds and was like WTF??? Saw some of his fights then said he'll NO! I'm not buying this mismatch.

To be fair Lemuix is much, much better now with all the $$$ Golden Boy is putting in his training. He's jumped from a D fighter to C+ bordering B. He's got potential but that missing weight BS better never happen again if he wants to be taken serious...

lemmy said all the right things, had the ko %....but in the end, it was the same as those before him. he did give it some effort but, he couldnt take the heat.

on the horizon we have alvy, jacobs, lara, charlos, bjs, lemmy rematch.....im guessing jacobs steps up and answers the call.

I think he took the fight too soon but can't hate for getting that $1.5 million. He's WAY better now. I don't think he changed trainers??? But he fight much better than he used to??? He still would lose of course.

And I mean too soon by his old boxing standard. His new one he throws crisp punches, good angles and mixes them up Before he was a come forward head hunter.P Lu's he misses weight which shows his lack of dedication.

i hope greed doesnt get in the way of a fight that has to happen.

85/15 for a uni fight........yeps. that makes sense.
Alvarez has no belts at middleweight, Alvarez is basically the money fighter 154-168, and Golovkin's continued thirst after Alvarez (even after being handed the belt that he claimed was the only reason he wanted to fight Alvarez) makes it absolutely clear that the belts actually don't mean much of anything to Golovkin.

Yes, Golovkin fits into the opponents group, just like Liam Smith currently is; at least Smith comes to the table with a TV broadcaster ready to put more money into the pot.

Golovkin is heading to the UK on Kell Brook's show for ****'s sake; Golovkin is traveling (late as heck, I may add) for a check, with Kell Brook taking home the upside on the friggin' PPV.

The heck with 85/15... cut Golovkin a check for for $3m, give K2 the Germany/EU TV rights to the fight, and tell Golovkin where/when to show up for the press commitments.

Alvarez still has the MW Lineal Title.

He meant its a 50-50 fight, both fighters can win, fans want to see it. Both huge punchers and exciting fighters,, biggest fight that can be made in the sport.

GGG would take the smaller split against Canelo, Loeffler made that clear alot in the past, but GGG's starpower is growing and Canelo's is diminishing.

GGG just does not want to get a joke offer from Canelo/Oscar, like the 90/10 split Oscar suggested some time ago.
Golovkin did maybe 100k PPV buys, has still never made more than $2m on a fight ever, and is traveling to the UK, for a fight where he's not even being cut in on the event's upside.

Canelo Alvarez will likely make no less than $10m on the Liam Smith fight (likely closer to $15m, depending on the PPV doing what's he's shown capable of doing).

                    you played yourself.

"I'm not that big" "Gots to marinate" etc & so on. Respect to GBP for trying to keep the hustle alive doe I guess. And still the strangest part of this to me is I f#cking believe Canelo wins, but sure it is the riskiest fight for Canelo out there in that it could end with a embarrassing KO L.
You can't really respect Golovkin, when he and his camp pulled the same delay tactics with the talks for the Ward fight.

Golovkin is playing the same game Canelo/Oscar's playing; he knows that he's almost 35, he knows that he started late as a pro, he knows that his Germany years didn't go great for him, he knows that the last 4 years with HBO have been a godsend for him, and he's adamantly not willing to give up a penny of money for however long his pro career lasts.

Golovkin is openly talking about walking away from an offer of $2m/$3m to fight Canelo; even for an opening gambut, walking away from that much money (before any mention of the Euro TV rights) is easily twice what any opponent that Alvarez has fought, not named Floyd, Cotto, or Khan) has ever earned, and more money than what Golovkin has ever earned in a fight.
