That is what everyone tries to do yet any success that has came against him has been on the inside vs a guy fighting short that is sitting down on his punches. Ouma fight, rounds 4-5 vs Monroe
People **** on Monroe but at least that cat had a plan B, adjusted and went for broke. Yh he quit but he went for it and left it all there then got what was left knocked out of him. He got more done in 2 rounds than 25 of these guys have combined.

GGGs a two-handed puncher who constantly is on you, he's merely out of range a few inches & throws looping and wide shots it doesn't matter which way you circle especially if you're going to move bolt upright or be flicking out some weak ass jab.
He is always on you, constantly manuvering you there is nothing more exhausting mentally and physically and that is without him even landing.

I don't see it not saying a brilliant pure boxer couldn't there is always several ways to beat anybody but I don't think it's the best way of going about it. It plays to his strengths too much.
You'd think going to him would but he generates most power when pressing and not a lot of guys have had the balls let alone the skillset to attempt it.
You're probably right, but you are describing the fighter of Marvin Hagler caliber here. There is nobody in sight even remotely close to this skill set.

When you go to his body you slow him down. Eastern Europeans and Soviet fighters generally do not like getting hit to the body, we saw Chillemba hurt Kovalev to the body and was able to make Kovalev gas out.

Brook needs to go to GGG's body EARLY, especially with hooks to the liver and kidney. Sap his energy. In the late rounds when GGG is tired, that's when you start attacking.
When you go to the body you leave your self open to head shots does that explain why they don't go there

It would take an excellent MW for sure.
There is currently nobody at MW that has what it takes, not even close. I could see maybe Jacobs doing alright if he had a chin but unfortunately he doesn't.

Well I think he could be beaten both ways..

Hopkins or Ward would beat him my way,,, I can see a froch or even a prime Pavlik backing down ggg like you suggest..

You say Golovkin has seen movement 400 times but he really hasn't faced true movers.. Monroe is probably the only legit guy Golovkin has faced that could be described as a mover and he is a fringe contender at best..

Either way, an average fighter isn't going to beat Golovkin moving or forcing him back.. It's gonna take a true world class talent like Ward, hopkins, froch, etc..

Both strategies are only as good as the fighters implement

I actually would have liked to seen a prime jermain taylor with his jab, power and raw physical tools battle Golovkin..

Not necessarily.... for example you can counter GG with a left hook to his body right when you block his own left hook to your body. Brook has the hand speed to do that. I noticed that when GGG throws his left hook downstairs he's very lethargic since he's putting so much into it. Also he often shells up when you get close to him and throw combinations. That's when you need to invest to his body.

Obviously there is no Mw out there that fancies his chances against Gennady. Ge is head & shoulders better than anyone 168 & under. Canelo ruined his career by blatantly avoiding him after that ****** rampage after the Khan fight Canelo has lost his Mexican fans who have disowned him & named him El Pollo believing he is a coward,
Thank the Good Lord for Kel Brooke who has the cojones to get in the ring with him

Key is someone with good defense. Thats the best trait against power punchers, dont get hit clean in the first place.

Everyone at 160 sucks. But I really would have wanted to see lara vs ggg if canelo is too much of a ***** to fight him. I think lara lasts all 12 rounds.

Ward would have schooled ggg, they didnt want nothing to do with him.

Bottom line is that to beat GGG you have to be able to take one of his shots. He often gives an opening in order to deliver a shot of his own. An iron chin and a fearless heart are necessities against Golovkin and I dont think there is a 160 fighter in the world that can beat Golovkin at this time
