chin tucked, elbows tight, circle, bend at the knees not the waist, have a meaningful jab. let his aggression work against him. hes wide as fnck when he attacks. this is when well timed missile like jabs can mess up his rhythm and make him think twice about those wide hooks.

iow, but to a greater extent, what ssm did to margy.

alls for naught if you have no chin. lets face it, 3g can ****.

When you go to his body you slow him down. Eastern Europeans and Soviet fighters generally do not like getting hit to the body, we saw Chillemba hurt Kovalev to the body and was able to make Kovalev gas out.

Brook needs to go to GGG's body EARLY, especially with hooks to the liver and kidney. Sap his energy. In the late rounds when GGG is tired, that's when you start attacking.
You have to get in past his jab, not exactly an easy task.

Thank the Good Lord for Kel Brooke who has the cojones to get in the ring with him
True. Have to give credit to Brook and I hope he makes a good showing. Stopping GGG is like preventing Michael Jordan from hitting a 3 pointer. Some athletes just have the goods and have what it takes to win.

You say Golovkin has seen movement 400 times but he really hasn't faced true movers.. Monroe is probably the only legit guy Golovkin has faced that could be described as a mover and he is a fringe contender at best..

Either way, an average fighter isn't going to beat Golovkin moving or forcing him back.. It's gonna take a true world class talent like Ward, hopkins, froch, etc..

Both strategies are only as good as the fighters implement

I actually would have liked to seen a prime jermain taylor with his jab, power and raw physical tools battle Golovkin..
If Kelly Pavlik broke down Taylor, imagine what GGG would do. GGG is pavlik with more power, more strength, more intelligence, and more skill.

You are all wrong. Kovalev gassed out because he got ill during the training camp. Also Golovkin has much stronger and tougher body then Kovalev.
The keys to beating Golovkin are changing distances, going inside and throwing fast combinations. Golovkin very well defends from single punches but when his opponent throw fast combination he lands. Also he is mediocre in inside fighting.

Kovalev getting "ill" was just an excuse, it was what Chillemba was doing (hitting him in the body) that was giving him problems.

How do you know Golovkin has a tougher body, when no one has seriously tested him to the body? The few times Murray hit him in the body, it bothered him and slowed him down a bit, but it was too little too late and Murray was feather-fisted. But Golovkin's body is there to be hit.

Golovkin and Kovalev both come from the Soviet/Eastern Europe school of boxing so they are both vulnerable to body shots from the inside. The key is to go to his body EARLY in the fight, and i believe Brook has the power to hurt him to the body.

                  Pretty much this
And moving laterally NOT in straight lines is also important. You have to force the fight to stay on the middle of the ring and avoid the ropes.
Also dominate his jab, constantly break his rhythm...
Fight from the outside or from the inside (you can switch it sometimes) but not from mid distance which is his preferred distance, the only distance where I saw him being comfortable so far.

He is strong and skilled but not fast, at some point this will backfire on him.

                    that's old, corny and overused

Tyson eventually got beaten by some people who had plans and they could also take them through even if they got "punched in the face"

Everyone at 160 sucks. But I really would have wanted to see lara vs ggg if canelo is too much of a ***** to fight him. I think lara lasts all 12 rounds.

Ward would have schooled ggg, they didnt want nothing to do with him.
He's deadly accurate though, not much misses the target. It's also hard to defend against a guy whose footwork is able to the ring into a phonebooth.

Best way to beat him is imo up close, that's the only place I have seen fighters have any success against him.
