Before the Cotto fight Canelo hadn't had a belt since his loss to Mayweather and he was still the second best ticket seller in the sport. He dropped the WBC belt. He's about to fight Smith and drop the belt to move up after he wins Do you think he gives a fuck about a trinket? Listen to what I'm saying. Canelo is 27 years old in his prime. Canelo is selling out stadiums. Canelo can call up any fighter he wants and offer them a fight and they'll take it. Canelo is also willing to fight at catchweight, something GGG isnt, in order to make fights. Canelo has plenty of options. Canelo has a national beer sponsorship with Mexico's largest beer maker. Canelo has a TV deal with Mexico's largest TV station. GGG's options are limited by not only opponents but also father time. Now tell me again. How much do you think GGG is worth to Canelo, because it isn't anywhere near 30%

Bottom line, it's the biggest fight for Canelo, and only way to regain some of the respect he's lost in a major way. Remember when he was well respected, like 9 months ago?

GGG will be out of the picture in 3-4 years and Canelo will still be younger than GGG is right now! Fighters are fleeting, they'll be another big named fighter for Canelo soon. GGG is Canelo or bust at this point in his career.

Canelo is a bit late with this crap. Loeffler already contacted Haymon/DiBella about making the fight and Lara's manager ruled it out for a couple of reasons.
He said that Lara wants to break the record for title defences at 154 before moving up to 160.
Lara hasn't posted any more twitter challenges to GGG since then.

It is Hypocritical for Nelo too bring up Lara considering many people( me included) thought he lost that fight and refused a rematch.
