Ward had all his latest fights in Oakland:

The only exception was his fight against Edwin Rodriguez, only because the Golden State Warriors were playing at home on that day:

If you talk about the Kovalev fight, that was agreed on to be in the T-Mobile Arena last year already, also the Oracle Arena has another event on November 19th, the Intel Extreme Masters, Esports:

This 1 won't be...nothing left to cry about

HBO will be backing Andre Ward. It doesn't fit in with the Cultural Marxist agenda for Kovalev to win.

Kellerman will be rooting for Ward, as will Hopkins and Jones, although the latter two will be more fair to Kovalev than Kellerman. Lampley too usually roots for the American boxer, although he's been fair to Kovalev so far. Lederman will certainly be rooting for Ward (remember Kotelnik-Alexander).

There's been a lot of shady judging in Las Vegas, favoring the home country boxer - a good example is Bradley-Pacquiao I.

Andre Ward has shady James Prince as his manager. Remember when Prince had his men beat up poor old Leonard Ellerbe, putting him in hospital?

Excuses are for losers n the weak

Has ward ever needed judges to rob anyone? No

        You're reaching for invisible straws
with a fair ref some of his fights would have looked very different

It's like Kovalev fighting in Yakaterinberg - same distance. Ward has home country advantage as always.

I just hope there's an honest referee.

Yes it is. At least an 8 hour drive from Oakland.

You had a point when it came to fighting in Oakland, now you're just being ridiculous.

Uh, HBO is luke warm on Ward, they put their backing behind another fighter near his weight class a long time ago. And the last time I checked Lampley was the biggest Pac stan around....Pac's not American.

You guys have no shame when it comes to making excuses. It is somewhat amusing though.

WellWell done ward you are a great fighter. But people thought you was retired until recently. Haven't done much recently but certainly doing something now
My bet after this he will take it quite easy again. Until people calls him out to fight ggg

Good for Ward. Hard to believe he's never had a big fight in Vegas yet.

I'm a fan of both Ward and Kovalev, but it always bugged me that other than his fight with Froch, Ward never wanted to fight outside of his hometown and he's not even a big draw there.

How would the fights have been different? His opponents barely land 25% and he lands over 40% so is the ref gonna help his opponents defend against his shots, move their heads or work out of a clinch? NO

with a better opposing trainer and opponent, the fights would have been competitive. the opponents take responsibility for not adapting mid fight. Keep the lame excuses. they are for losers

dont try to take away from this guys accomplishments because you want to see him lose or dont like his style

repeating the same garbage about fould and refs isnt making the statements anymore valid

if you have doubts about kovalev, just say so...dont be a coward and hide behind a lame excuse, when this dude literally has beaten every opponent clearly
