    I've always liked Cotto.
I didn't really like what happened with the MW reign, which Canelo then continued.

But he faced top guys, was a top fighter himself and had a nice style to watch.
IMO, he was one of the top guys in that era, and a guy i looked forward to watching.

I like Cotto overall. He is a good fighter with lots of good wins and many fights against top opposition. I do have a problem with him as middleweight champ. I would have to say he was one of the worst middleweight champions in the history of that weight class. He went a full year without defending his middleweight title. He won the middleweight title at a weight limit of 159. After a full year he finally defended his title but not against the top contender GGG and not at 160 pounds. Instead he fought Geale who GGG had easily KOed a short time ago. He fought Geale at a catchweight of 157. Then he lost the title to Canelo at a catchweight of 155 that pleased both Cotto and Canelo. I can't give Cotto any higher than a D- as middleweight champ. Canelo went on to be just as much of a pretend middleweight champ as Cotto had been.

The pink phone and crocs did it for me.

        There's some lines a fighter shouldn't cross.

He has some questionable moves in his career but he is top 10-15 of his generation. I have noticed that a lot of the haters are Mexican though, just saying.

He did what all boxers should do get in the ring n challenge some of the best hoooray!!! for him, since its damn near rare now days for that he is being a bit overrated, but ill always be a fan of any boxer and Cotto is prolly in my top 10, Margarito vs Cotto one of my favorite fights of all time especially cause TonyTornado won

Looking forward to his next match, seems like hes trying to get an easy match, id like if he challenge one of those young 154lb contenders

Without a doubt. And I think he is substantially higher on the list as well.
