Why do some posters hate Gennady Golovkin so much?

Watching GGG beat up on overmatched middleweights isn't that exciting to me. Other than the Monroe fight GGG hasn't been all that exciting in my opinion. He has the style he just needs the right opponent to make a fight exciting.

yeah i meant as in exciting style, obviously not been in any fight of the years. But people should be criticising the people who wont fight him, jacobs, saunders, cotto, canelo etc, bizarre that golovkin gets the criticism for people not wanting to fight him

Dude, you're asking me a question I cant answer. There is no barometer for comparison. How can anyone know what a fighter would have been like, how he would have performed, had he not been taken the drugs? How can we say how Holyfield would have performed without the help of Balco?

But seriously, I think youre really naive if you think that substances like Clen, Andro, Meldonium (not sure exactly how that affects you since Ive never taken any, but I have a good idea based on the science) doesnt give you a competitive edge. For you to sit there and say a guy who's clean is on a level playing field with the one who's jacked up on juice is foolish, for lack of better term. And I'm still waiting for your answer. Have you ever taken any steroids or PEDS?

Even if you haven't, the science is out there. The research is out there. I would suggest you read and study then evaluate what metabolic and physical effects various PEDs have. There is a reason that virtually EVERY sport, combat or otherwise, tests for these substances.

Why do Freedom and other pro white posters want to protect GGG from what they feel is unfair treatment but actively participated in the negativity against black and hispanic fighters?

The TS is someone that still to this day goes out of his way to find ways to denigrate the careers and accomplishments of boxers like Floyd and Ward. Then he acts surprised that his "NSB playbook" on denigrating fighters is then turned on GGG.

I could see if Freedom and other pro white GGG fans were new posters and came to NSB and found the climate unbearable. However, almost all have been here a long time and participated and often were directly responsible for the negativity. Maybe some of you wanted it to stop but you weren't as vociferous as you are now that its GGG.

Very few pro white posters cared about unfair treatment, racial sterotyping of fans, bigoted appraisal of resumes/opponents or flooding NSB with constant negative threads. Many of you, the TS included, are now posting this is wrong since the target is a white fighter.

I say why stop now. If NSB is a cesspool, well it always was one. Why should GGG fans not have to deal with the environment they created?

1) 1st you say you cant. how can you ? theres no barometer. no one can know how a guy would do if they were clean (you mention holy but i dont recall him ever being banned for any reason, so theres that). but there lies the rub. royds are supposed to catapult the user to uncharted territory. are we to assume holy was on the royd his entire career ? or just the fights he won ?

2) i dont claim to be a p''e''d expert. im just a guy waiting for conclusive, scientific facts that say, without a doubt whatsoever, that p''e''d's guarantee a guy a w. if p''e''d's cant give a guy that w, then whats the point ?

3) most sports that ban p''e''d's is due to in large part, health issues. dont take my word for it....

iow, smoking has been the coolest **** on earth....until recently. He's not a privileged boxer, he had to move to a new country to fight.

He's never enjoyed home advantage. He's had world title fights in several countries. He's never needed referees to permit him to foul, or to protect him.

He's never been a prima donna who demands all the advantages. He doesn't badmouth other boxers, although he occasionally responds when they talk about him. He's never demanded his opponent wear gloves with extra padding.

He's a nice guy outside the ring. He doesn't beat up women.

He doesn't clamp his opponents arms, he doesn't clinch much, he doesn't head butt. He doesn't run from his opponents.

He wins his fights by knockout, not dull decisions. He's exciting to watch and good for the sport.

Why do some posters hate him so much?

Maybe they just don't like boxing.

I can appreciate that different people have style preferences, but it is hard for me to fathom why someone wouldn't be a fan of Golovkin.

The race angle is very weird too. Golovkin grew up in newly post-soviet Kazakhstan where people didn't have **** whatsoever. He didn't get any promotional push until he was about 30 years old. He is a leader and a teacher in the gym and treats all of the black, hispanic, and russian kids at his gym like they are his brothers. As a fighter and as a good dude, I don't understand the strange jealousy that some people here have towards him.

However, it is strictly an internet thing. I've been to 4 of his fights and his fans are very multicultural.
