Since he signed a contract Tank is representing the TMT brand. When athletes are are representing a brand they are expected to uphold a certain standard. Look at the Lochte situation the dude lost four of his sponsors. If Floyd thinks Gervonta situation in Baltimore is not good for him , I see nothing wrong with him asking to him to get out of there.

Mayweather is expected to invest millions in him. He has every right to lay down certain stipulations and to expect a return from his investment. Being in Vegas would arguably get Gervonta more exposure: attending the events of other fighters in Mayweather's stable. He arguably has to go out of his way to promote him in Baltimor as it is outside hos place of operation.

There's also him being in a detrimental environment.

Not necessarily. If Arum doesn't feel his prospect is ready for a step up in competition he won't rush him. Floyd's willing to pay money, to let this guy skip over 10 contenders, if he's willing to prove to Floyd that he is dedicated, committed and has a desire to be great.
