And you damn know money wise he's right to stay at 160.

Nelo is a bigger fight than De Gale, Jacobs a bigger fight than Jack, BJS a bigger fight than Ramirez.

He could fight a Andrade or Charlo in the next years, they probably will outgrow 154.

    WTF ?

    give it a rest bro

Loeffler dropped Degale's name to justify the Brook selection.....

at least click the link, if you can't remember

Tom said they would have no problem fighting Degale, to excuse the fact that they selected Brook..... but Gennady himself just took a dump on that weak excuse.

No, I don't think so. Brook was a last minute replacement to keep his date and to salvage the event.

He could have tried to have fought the SMW holders instead? Really? Who? DeGale and Jack are in the middle of negotiations and they have been for some time. Zurdo is injured.

Why have you mentioned Wade when he was a mandatory?

Yes, his comments have come back to haunt him. Fair enough. But it's just one of those things. He was entitled to criticise Canelo and Oscar for their actions, and he couldn't have foreseen that Eubank Snr's ego would have gone out of control.

      that fight aint signed

      what a piss-poor excuse

        3. How is Alvarez post fight statement held to a higher regard than Trip saying 154-168 for a big fight?

        4. Bottom line, Team GGG plays the same risk reward games as every other fighters. Why can't he be subject to criticism just like other fighters?

And there it is..... right there ^^

Four years ago GGG was barely on the map. Think they changed their minds with time haha.

1.) Canelo - Fight has to happen otherwise Oscar + Canelo will lose face
2.) Saunders - 4th and final belt to have a unified undisputed MW champion owning all major belts and make history, with GGG becoming huge in the UK Saunders can not much longer duck the fight
3.) Jacobs - Jacobs has secondary belt and is mandatory for GGG
4.) Eubank - Big fight in the UK still, UK is the new boxing capitol, Eubank might give GGG trouble
5.) Huge guys from 154 lb moving up - Charlo's, J-Rock, Andrade and everyone's favorite GGG destroyer the cuban runner Lara

              Big fights at 168

1.) DeGale vs Jack winner sometime in 2017
2.) Zurdo Ramirez sometime in 2017 (currently out with Hand Injury)

Whoever says GGG needs to move up now is seriously ******, a hater or doesn't know shit about boxing.

                  1. I'm not grasping for straws. Dunny is desperately trying to say that Canelo was never a MW. Yet he was more than happy to fight for the title, knowing all along that he was obligated to face GG afterwards if he won. This whole mess could have been avoided had he just relinquished the belt after Cotto instead of kidding to everyone that they wanted to fight GG.

                  2. GG wants titles and big fights. There was no point blocking the Cotto-Canelo fight because Cotto would never have fought him. So he let them fight, got paid, beat Lemieux for the IBF, knowing that the winner had to face him or vacate. He stepped aside the 2nd time because Oscar asked for a voluntary and he thought they'd be able to negotiate afterwards.

                  3. There's no difference? GG was referring to a potential big fight if it was viable and in his best interests. How on earth is that the same as what Canelo and Oscar did? After saying he'd put the gloves back on there and then, he went on to fight Liam Smith without even negotiating with K2.

                  4. He can be subject to criticism. But unfortunately, most people on here debate on emotion instead of logic.

You're a piss-poor member who debates on hate.

James has wanted that fight for ages. He's not going to want to fight GG at this point.

                      Great post.

Who can really argue against that?

I would only want to see him move up within the next year if he couldn't get any of those fights.
