i thought whole point of weight classes is so people can fight at a weight they are most comfortable at. Why bother with them in the first place if you are all just going to call golovkin a coward for doing exactly that?

You fans should tell them to STFU about fighting at 168 then, if they don't want people to say he should move up. They are constantly talking about it, they were promoting him as the fighter that would fight anyone from 154-168.

In my opinion, he'll definitely move up to SMW before he retires. He hasn't said here that he won't move up to SMW, he's just saying that there is no huge PPV fight for him there. And he's right about that. But again, I think he'll move up eventually. But he's not going anywhere yet, as he wants the WBO belt as well as a Canelo fight.

But when fighters who don't fight at 160 tell him the same thing he and his fans cry and make excuses.

They've actually been quite consistent with it, it's just that every time a 168 fight falls through or there's a CW offer their willingness to move weight is (not unreasonably) called into question. I get it, but what is the 'right fight'? I guess that's for GGGs team to decide, but they're working to the risk / reward ratios just like everyone else.
