One goes down and hides at 154, the other at 160. What a pair of fake warriors!

You said that's where he was "comfortable", I seem to recall Brook's offer at 157 being turned down. You think Brook might have been a bit more comfortable moving up 10 lbs instead of 13?

        ......"Super Middle Weight is 161-168"............????????

Heres the mentality we have on this forum there is NO 161 to 168!!!!!!!

There are only LIMITS which would be 168!!!! If you come in at 151 you can still fight at 168!!!!!

If the man wants to be a middleweight thats it!!!! Just don't follow his career if you don't like it but stop whining like a bunch of spoiled girls.

Golovkin go up to heavyweight or Cruiser and challenge, that's what the haters want. I think he should rule 160, grab all the belts and if you want a 160 title you go through him.

Which is pretty much what every fighter in every division does anyway - unless they outgrow a division and have to move up. I don't really get the controversy.

They've actually been quite consistent with it, it's just that every time a 168 fight falls through or there's a CW offer their willingness to move weight is (not unreasonably) called into question. I get it, but what is the 'right fight'? I guess that's for GGGs team to decide, but they're working to the risk / reward ratios just like everyone else.
Good post. So much logic and reasoning that it's bound to get ignored here at NSB.

the brook fight is still a joke, but stop lying . i have no idea why it is that virtually none of you have it in you to do diligent research and be objective.
Who is lying? Gave my opinion genius. Also where are the legacy fights among the fighters you listed? Cotto? That's laughable. He is not a middleweight. Alvarez, has never fought a middleweight. Martinez...retired and should have retired before he got blasted out by a blown up welterweight. Eubanks was the only legit MW fight and K2 did not SEEK out that fight. Hearn made the offer. Sturm? GTFO!

                  But he's not right!

He knows if he goes to 168 the fans and media will demand he fight Ward and Kovalev just 1 division above him.

Golovkin is a fraud of the highest order.

Then tell this coward and his camp to keep their mouths shut about fighters who don't fight at his weight (160). The reason fans, reporters and other fighters are talking about this fraud is because this lame phuk started name dropping other fighters who all don't fight at 160. He's the one who said 154 or 168 4 years ago. He's the one who spent the last 3+ years BEGGING welterweights and superwelterweight to all move up from their "most comfortable" weight and fight him. He's the one who's trainer to this day still says GGG knocks out everyone at 168. If he wants to stay at 160 a trash division and collect every meaningless belt he can do that. The problem is he started speaking on fighters who don't fight at his weight and said he would go to their weights. Now all the excuses that don't add up come. If all he wants is to stay and only fight at 160 then stop name dropping fighters who don't fight at 160. Otherwise you look like a coward and a hypocrite.

what the f#ck are you talking about? golovkin's team f#cking signed a contract for that fightl

they also pressured sanctioning bodies [their only recourse at the time considering who was the "A side"] to make fights with sturm, martinez, cotto, alvarez several times, danny jacobs, hassan ndam, basically every top 10 MW of the last 3-4 years who golovkin has not stopped.

so because eddie hearn made the first phone call and eubanks ducked it's somehow golovkn's fault? they negotiated that fight over the course of weeks. in other words, becuse you clearly odn't understand how this works, they both MADE OFFERS until they were able to agree to terms. ever bought a house? just because you don't seek somebody out off of the street to buy it doesn't mean you're not seeking to sell the house. they can find you. then they make an offer. then you make a counter offer, SEEKING to sell the house to them

they sought to make that fight the second tehy were approached about it. they sought a UK venue and a UK time slot. sought to have HBO play second fiddle. sought to fight chris eubanks jr. but his father literally wanted to control ticket prices, undercard rosters and purse splits, etc. that's UNHEARD OF, if oyu understand anything about bopxing promotions, and just a way to get out of the fight.
