well it is an insult and its patronising. You telling me its been some great year for boxing? Been **** all match ups between two 'A' level fighters. Rare for a lot of top fighters to have one tough match up on paper let alone two a year, why framptons looking at getting FOTY cause its almost unheard of these days. Ive followed boxing for many years and its been my favourite sport so dont tell me its 'not for me'. Just because i would rather rewatch something like barrera v morales than crawford v postol doesnt make me less of a fan.Ain't that the truth. You can watch Unimas or Bein sports and see bloody action wars like this regularly. Or stream those fights in japan. These whiny b**** only watch 1 fight per month then cry that there are no action fights.
These dudes can't admit it but boxing is just not for them. And that's OK. It's not intended to be an insult. Just am observation.Comment

Off the bat your perception is way off. This would be considered a **** matchup by boxing standards. McGregor vs Diaz is the type of matchup you are *****ing about in this very post.
The difference is, the UFC packaged it beautifully, put some Flamin hot seasoning on those Cheetos, baked them to perfection, added some ranch dressing and made the crap food taste delicious.
The difference is, UFC fans appreciate their fighters and respect their craft. While boxing fans like you, ***** about fighters and complain all the time.Comment

UFC fights can be boring too. but generally they are much more exciting because boxing rarely puts the fights on we want to see, whereas UFC is usually always best vs best or always ranked fighters vs other ranked fighters.
So yeah, right now, UFC.Comment

Nate Diaz is definitely considered one of the toughest fights in his weightclass. 2/3ds of the fights he lost, he didn't really lose and he has beaten some bad ass guys incl one guy that's on a mean streak right now in Cowboy Cerrone.
Is he a long time championship fighter? No. But he has never been given any favours whatsoever and was always matched hard.Comment

But you're misinterpreting and derailing my entire post. If an elite boxer such as Mayweather or Pacquiao fought the Nate Diaz equivalent in boxing, they would get destroyed by the fans.Nate Diaz is definitely considered one of the toughest fights in his weightclass. 2/3ds of the fights he lost, he didn't really lose and he has beaten some bad ass guys incl one guy that's on a mean streak right now in Cowboy Cerrone.

I can't believe what I'm reading bro. We've been getting McGregor vs Diaz matchups for years in boxing. It's the very reason why these weirdos claim boxing is dead. Because the best aren't fighting the best.
But UFC delivers the same caliber of matchup, it's the greatest thing since sliced bread.
The beauty of marketing. Boxing's problem is that it doesn't package it's bull crap as beautifully as UFC. They just give it to you on a spoon and shove it down your throat, no sugarcoating.Comment

yeah they marketed it well and the fight delivered, so whats your point? You act like the fight surpassed all expectations, no it didnt, it was a rematch of a really good first fight however short it was. Why would anyone be complaining about a rematch of a fight like that? Just think you want to be seen as one of these old school 'purists' who appreciate the finer side of the sport, sneering at those who enjoy fights that are action packed and those who have the audacity to consider one sided 12 round fights with someone like lara and ward as boring. Theres many many boxers i enjoy watching, and theres a minority that i dont. Im not compelled to find every single fighter interesting.Nate Diaz isn't an A level fighter
