Its hilarious you put Froch and Kessler in the same sentence as Kovalev and Golovkin. Jesus, Kovalev and Golovkin would kill the other two inside of 5 rounds. Ward is a hell of a fighter, the first two he took care of no problem, the other two he loses to more than likely. Dude. Ottke is nothing compared to Calzaghe and Ward, he's not relevant in this discussion...

Ward is a better boxer than Calzaghe, but don't you see how the styles could end up as trouble for Ward? Calzaghe and Ward are both 1 level above guys like Froch and Kessler and 1 level below guys like Roy Jones Jr. It would be an epic fight.

I don't really I think Calzaghe would really flatter him.
Granted he had a great engine but against static fighters & a lot of robotic upright plodders. I'd expect his workrate to drop significantly against a fighter with Wards ring I.Q, jab, feints, counterpunching ability much like it did vs a very old B-Hop. (Granted it was at LHW & Joe at the tail end but stylistically speaking)

Why did Froch duck him? He's willing to go up to 168 for the right fight, like Ward, Froch, etc but both those guys turned down fights against him. He wants to become undisputed champion at 160. He wants to go down as the greatest MW of all time.
