Ward has form & like I said he seems lack lustre & the presser no show doesn't fill me with confidence. This is their first PPV events, Ward should be bending over backwards to promote the fight. DUVA DOESNT EXACTLY SOUND THAT CERTAIN AT THE PRESSER EITHER! Citing we have an agreement & she doesn't know if there is a problem with ward! Why reiterate that? Shouldn't that be plain anyway? You can't blame fans who know of Wards amateur dramatics for being a bit sceptical..

Instead of ranting on about Golovkin... Who are these fans?
Ward pulled out of a fight with Pavlik with a legit injury. The first Brand vs. Ward fight didn't go any further than talks. Brook has pulled out of Alexander (2x's), Chavez, Rios, and Vargas. That's five times he's pulled out of a fight. Ward contract states he must fight Kovalev next or he can't fight at all. Brook's contract doesn't state that with GGG.

Duva is being her regular drama queen self. The negotiations hit a snag over the venue. Not where the fight will take place but concerns Roc Nation had over the venue. The issue was straightened out THE NEXT DAY.

The bout is headed for T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas. Following extended talks with Ward’s promoter, rapper Jay Z’s Roc Nation Sports, Kovalev promoter Kathy Duva said arena operator MGM Grand helped ease tensions between the two sides. Duva said Tuesday that Ward’s camp was purposely delaying going to Las Vegas as a possible “ploy" to force the bout to Oakland, Ward’s hometown. On Wednesday, however, Duva said that MGM Grand personnel intervened as a mediator, hashing out concerns with Roc Nation Sports.

The impasse over where to stage the much anticipated light-heavyweight title fight between three-belt champion Sergey Kovalev and unbeaten former super-middleweight champion Andre Ward on Nov. 19 was bridged Wednesday.

Duva was using the media to negotiate like she always does. It's a constant with Duva. Yvon Michel and her had an agreement not to negotiate in the media concerning the last Stevenson/Kovalev fight and she did it anyway when negotiations hit a snag. You also have to remember Duva pulled out of the Wilder-Glazkov negotiations to strip Fury of the IBF title. She called an immediate purse bid and didn't give even give Fury's side a chance to come to any type of deal. She pulled out of the Stevenson-Kovalev purse bid also, and Kovalev didn't even have an HBO contract during that time. So Duva also has a history of pulling out of fights. But for some reason your concern is solely on Ward?

Oh forgive me.. The devastatingly good Brand talks his toll on Ward! Here's an idea Andre, focus less on Brand & more on Kovalev then you wouldn't be having to go to pressers for a boxing mega fight days after fighting a scrub..

Priorities anyone? Even Wards fans are acting divas on his behalf now LMAO

        Pathetic.

Now let's look at fights with a date and venue but with a fighter who has a history of pulling out of fights. Brook vs. Golovkin. Brook has a history of pulling out of fights but you don't see people saying that fight won't happen.

It's pretty clear to me what's going on. Certain people don't want to see the fight happen. They're concern trolls.

Well the thread title is: Does anyone get the sense that Ward..

You are pointing out what I already know. Brook has pulled out of fights. Who says he hasn't? This is a discussion on Kovalev/Ward. When I get through here I may take up that discussion.

These fans then? Who are they?

As far as the press conference, it was never billed as a press conference with Ward and Kovalev. This event was stated from the beginning as being a Kovalev only event. It was never the official kickoff to the Ward-Kovalev fight. Main Events wasn't even promoting it as such before the event. It was clear that this was a Kovalev event.

Show me anything prior to the event that stated this was supposed to be the official kickoff press conference for Ward vs. Kovalev. It's Duva finally getting her time to shine and she's jumping the gun. She went rogue with this even and it turned into a ****show.

Exposed me? Yet you are the ones discussing a fighter who has no relevance to this supposed fight I am discussing. Doesn't that expose how said fighter is in YOUR head? Considering you brought him up in a discussion that doesn't concern him? Damn you're dense..

He refused to talk about Kovalev in the build up to Brand saying I am focusing completely on Brand. Doesn't bother with the press conference recently!

Is he upset because he cannot dictate terms to Kovalev like the stiffs he's been fighting & home field advantage will be taken away too? Right proper diva..
This post is absolutely on point!

I hope for once boxing prevails we need to stop cheaters prevailing, I don't support cheaters time to cut out this holding and headbutting crap no more home advantage for Ward!
FFS Ward refused a record high payday to fight Froch in England, doesn't that say it all yet all the little Ward idiot fanboys will say is -
"bbbut he won the fight he don need the rematch"
Yeah because fighting Edwin Rodriquez, Paul Smith, Barrera is a better match up, absolutely ******ed!!

Not as pathetic as a lying and fact twisting GGG fan pretending to have concerns about one fight and not showing those concerns over the next..... "I'll make a thread about Brook-GGG when it pleases me doe"

Please show me an example of when a fighter has been on a presser 3 days after a fight. The Brand fight was put together very late, since the kickoff presser for the Kovalev fight was arranged well before the Brand fight it's possible that Ward and RN didn't know the Brand fight would be so close to this presser.

They should have given Main Events earlier notice that they wouldn't attend or at the very least send a representative to the presser. I can give you that because I'm not a lying fan boy like yourself.
