Will Ward really fight Kovalev in November?

Kovalev is a clean athlete. There is no reason to accuse or even suspect him, other than prejudice because he's from Russia.Comment

Povetkin was allegedly clean too. So was Sharapova. SO was... you get my point.Comment

I think Ward is insecure about fighting Kovalev in Las Vegas, even though he'll still have home country advantage.
He wants to have the fight in Oakland so he can have a personal referee there to permit him to use illegal tactics. He also wants to dictate ring size, gloves, etc.
He feels less afraid secure with a home crowd behind him. Ward is no warrior.Comment

If it doesn't, Ward will never live it down. I think it will and it won't be in Oakland. If I were Kovalev, I' refuse to fight him in his own hometown. Vegas or New York is more than reasonable. He's the champion. he could say Russia or bust. I think it will happen in Vegas at T mobile. At this point, Ward has to.Comment

Ward refused testing for the Super Six and for Rodriguez, and he was working with PED guru Victor Conte at that time.Comment

Well, the tiny trace of the non-steroid Povetkin tested for was well below a millionth of a gram, so it was NOT a failed test according to WADA rules.Comment
