    * He never fought MW and their power (he will be surprised by the power).
    * He never fought at an equal size kind of fight , he is used to bully and leverage his size , this will in turn make him fight a completely different fight which he NEVER did , that alone put him at a big disadvantage regardless of weight he comes in the ring on.
You are being too pessimistuc and doom sand gloom. Sure brook never fought any 160 guys befoire. But if you can do it, you can do it regardless.
You are assuming brook won't do anything and won't be able to diodio anything at 160 whereas the reality is brook will likely have a successful campaign their if he chooses to stay there.

All the things you are saying could theoretically apply to everyone whoi ever stepped up from ww to middleweight but you would be wrong as its done often. More often than u care to admit

    • Well I take back ****ting on this fight now. Brook is looking lean and strong even with all that extra weight.

After seeing this I struggle to see him going back down to 147, that must be hell on his body.

Probably , but usually when ppl move up , they go up one weight class , and usually they don't pick the best fighter at higher class division , he isn't going up to fight Mora , he is going up 2 WC and challenges a P4P top fighter , we will see if this is a mismatch or not come fight night ,i hope it will be a good fight but i have my doubts as you stated correctly i am assuming a lot of things (just like you) , cheers!

I agree with you brook is challenging himself. But for every khan, you get a srr or Duran or rjj .......success stories. At this poi nt we don't knoiw hoiw well brook will fair, neither does GGG know how tough brook will be. But we can't criticiuse gggg too much just like we cant criticiuse hagler or Ruiz for fighting rjj.
Brook could turn out to bee a monster

He's not a small guy, but that's not really the problem anyway. Brook is used to fighting Welterweights. He's not used to fighting hard hitting 160, and that's the problem. When we talk of jumping up two weight classes, it's not really about your own weight if you can carry it well, it's about the difference in opponents.
Respectfully disagree ^. I think it is much more to do with your own fighting technique and style - typically as the weight increases speed decreases and power (or at least making each shot count) becomes more important but the most significant factor is stamina - shifting all those extra lbs takes a lot of energy and fights tend to be fought at a slower pace with more care taken to conserve energy. Yeah, sure, Kell may not be used to getting hit with the bigger shots but it's his job to make sure they don't land effectively - in the end he can either take them or he can't but the same applies to any fighter - a decent Welter like Porter hits you completely flush you're probably going down anyway.

Nah... the issue here is that Kell's technique and pace is optimised for fighting Welters at Welter. Also it's likely his timing may be affected by the extra bulk - fractionally to be sure, but that's all it takes... These are kinks that could be ironed out with a few tune-ups at MW or even JMW, but that will almost certainly mean he is not at his absolute best in his first match at 160.

That's not to say Brook won't do OK - I think the kid's a good boxer and that will show - and I think he would do very well at JMW and who knows... maybe eventually at MW too, but this is just too much, too soon.

            • 154 would have been competitive and an excellent fight for the fans and the fighter's legacies. At 160 it won't be competitive.

If Floyd was fighting him, he'd be picking on an unknown...and don't you love the "shooting for the stars" comment? I lmao @ that...it's like watching a friggen figure skating routine by an 8 year old kid. Never saw someone defend such a Bull**** fight in my life.

But yes, hes not used to fight middleweights and GGGs power is propably gonna be unbelievable to him.
I totally agree. I wasn't knocking GGG, i'm a fan of him, and Brook too for that matter.

I wasn't saying GGG fights smaller men, this is rare for him.

I'd also give Brook a good shot at beating the other MW's not named Golovkin. But as you say, the power is going to be unbelievable for him, but it's the skill GGG has to land his shots that will make it worse for Brook i think. I don't think there's any parts of their skill-sets that Brook really does much better than GGG and that's really a problem when you're moving up to fight guys bigger than you're used to, you at least need a few things you do significantly better if you're going up in weight that much.
