according to ring magazine...they still have Canelo as the champ.....ggg # 1 and below him is Jacobs, BJS, Lemieux, lee and eubanks at 5


if he isnt fighting top 5 middleweights or top 5 from 154, 168...IDGAF who is fighting....been waiting 3 years for this guy to fight someone better than Murray level type guy. Lemieux could be viewed as a step up but its hard to forget the underwhelming fighters he took loses to.

either way, IDGAF who his opponents are and have not watched any of his fights live since Lemieux or before it, his competition doesnt spark imagination...anything less than top 5 and I'll just catch the recap.

so basically

1) he wont be fighting anyone worth a damn til Canelo @ 160 next year..i knew that already

2) he isnt moving up so rule out anyone at 168

3) so basically he'll be fighting welterweights, and no name middlweights until he gets a big payday

Besides that thought being just laughable, the fact that these fans want to see their fighter get beat just sounds ridiculous. Do you have any friends that are Canelo fans? Do they want Smith to win for the same reason?

None of us like Canelo, yes, unlike you and your gay screen name, my friends are unbiased and beginning to turn against triple asswipe at this point because of this fight.
We all do acknowledge however that Canelo has the better resume and that triple boy****r should've just taken a cw fight with him so he could be pulling in more money and not fighting a WW for his best payday.

Only a bum sitting at home and never been in a real fight would call a Olympian Silver medalist and current unified WBA, WBC, IBF and IBO middleweight Champion a hype job. Obviously with that resume he's no hype job man use your brain.

This, I like Brook, and he might beat Thurman and some other WWs, however beating a guy canelo's size is different and then going up yet another weight class is a whole different ball game. I'm not positive brook would beat cotto at this stage of his career either tbh.

...and the GGG haters (who simply are not too bright) will always down play the importance of GGG's opponent.....Brook would beat every welterweight in the world, although Errol Spence Jr. is likely as good as Brook....Brook would beat Canelo( for sure).....GGG will win but this is likely going to be GGG's toughest fight....when GGG fought Stevens (There is a boxer named Darnel boon who almost beat Kovalev lost a very close split decision….knocked out Adonis Stevenson….knocked down Andre Ward the only pro to do it…..and Stevens beat Boon fairly easily….Stevens can fight…..and GGG gave Stevens a beat down…)...GGG has fought world class fighters and made it look easy....GGG is that good...

he is a hype job......good fighter....but he has a crap resume in relation to the hype he recieves....he is the only fighter i've ever seen recieve such high praise for doing so little...other than his knockout streak, their isnt much to write home about. He only won, one of his belts in the ring, and how can he be top 3 p4p and the man literally has beaten no elite fighters or anyone near top 20 p4p let alone top 10

Indeed, they'd jump from one bandwagon to another. Now triple asswipe is their guy because surely Floyd is ducking a 160 lb fighter now at 40 years old...BUT, beat Floyd and they would sing his praises and talk about all the GREAT fighters he beat. It's actually funny and I lol that they don't know when the are watching a hype job. I hope triple sac keeps his Apple watch on, he can watch his wasted career tick off in HD.

Im not sure the pay for Canelo would have been any better. On top of a 155 catch, I believe GBP mentioned a 90-10 split. So I dont think that amounts to a huge payday for GGG.
