Prime Martin Murray is better than shot Martinez, as he showed knocking him down multiple times in Argentina, and better than shot Dawson who had just been KO'd by Ward.
Curtis Stevens was also destroying fools before he ran into GGG. Many here were demanding that fight. And David Lemieux is the most underrated fighter on boxingscene. There's a reason they didn't make the Lemieux-Canelo fight, Lemieux would kick Canelo's ass. There's a reason Lara won't fight Lemieux to earn the GGG fight, Lemieux would kick Lara's ass. He ran into a better version of himself in GGG. Otherwise he and Jacobs would be a 50-50 fight for #2 in the division, and I'd pick Lemieux because Jacobs defense and deterrent isn't as good as GGG, so I think Lemieux would hit Jacobs, and anyone without an elite chin, which Jacobs does not have, is probably not going to win a fight with Lemieux if they get hit. And Lemieux showed a very good chin against GGG. So that would be a war and the more durable guy Lemieux would be the favorite. So that's the #2 in the division. GGG beat the guy who would have been lineal, aka the #1, and he beat the #2. But people act like he beat no one.

What are you, a man or a freaking goldfish?
he isnt top 3 p4p let alone top ten with the level of opposition he fights....you dont get browny points for knocking out overmatched opposition
so.....why did you avoid the question....do you see him fighting a top 5 middleweight after brook? be honest

There are some pretty good names on his resume Proksa, Stevens, Rosado, Murray, Geale, Lemieux, Brook. In the olympics knocked down Bute with headgear on, beat Andy Lee, Matvey Korobov, Andre Dirrell. Hype job??????????
What other middleweight at 160 has a resume better than GGG? I'll wait..... The guy is a silver medalist and unified champ at 160 but he's a hype job only a fool would believe that.

1. Canelo, lineal champion. Handed over his WBC belt to avoid Golovkin.
2. The Man himself.
3. Daniel Jacobs. Won't fight Golovkin unless he is paid twice as much as GGG himself has ever earned for a fight.
4. Billy Joe Saunders. Same as Jacobs.
5. David Lemieux. KO'd by GGG last year.
Yes, it's a safe bet that GGG won't be fighting a top 5 MW next.

With GGG you want to get in and out and move not clinch and stand in front of him because you won't be able to take it.
Khan used his speed to great effect before getting stopped, Brook doesn't have that speed. So he has to use his strength. It might help early. I'm not saying he'll be stronger than GGG or that he can win, I'm just saying he should get physical in there, even if it's only to play some mind games.

Don't forget Eubank turned down a multimillion pound contract for the fight too.
That's 5 opponents I count who all turned down the fight.

.enjoy the mismatches bro...he wont face anyone top 5 from 154 and 168 either but dont mind the little fellas from 147......so I guess his team forgot all about 154-168
according to ring magazine...they still have Canelo as the champ.....ggg # 1 and below him is Jacobs, BJS, Lemieux, lee and eubanks at 5
if he isnt fighting top 5 middleweights or top 5 from 154, 168...IDGAF who is fighting....been waiting 3 years for this guy to fight someone better than Murray level type guy. Lemieux could be viewed as a step up but its hard to forget the underwhelming fighters he took loses to.
either way, IDGAF who his opponents are and have not watched any of his fights live since Lemieux or before it, his competition doesnt spark imagination...anything less than top 5 and I'll just catch the recap.

1) he wont be fighting anyone worth a damn til Canelo @ 160 next year..i knew that already
2) he isnt moving up so rule out anyone at 168
3) so basically he'll be fighting welterweights, and no name middlweights until he gets a big payday
Oh the excitement and suspense
