Comments Thread For: Adam Booth: Brook Doesn't Have The Power To Trouble Golovkin

IBF welterweight world champion Kell Brook (36-0, 25KOs) is taking a big risk next month, but he's very confident that he will overcome not only moving up two weight divisions, but also the feared power of IBF/WBC/WBA/IBO world middleweight champion Gennady Golovkin (35-0, 32KOs) when they meet in London on Sept.10.

booth mate, noone cares what you think. Youre better off spending your time finding a fighter to train, rather than slagging off others

Brook could win this, but it's definitely not going to be with power. He needs to come in with a 2-3 hit combo and hold and wait for the break. Make it an ugly fight and hopefully G never finds his rhythm. Other than that, it will be an early night.

I agree with this. GGG has maybe the best chin in boxing. Brook's power - or lack of power at MW - won't be a deciding factor.

What will decide whether this is going to be a blow out or a real contest is how Kell deals with Golovkin's power. Movement, jab - Brook has a great jab - and speed will be his main assets.

GGG's body punches will be a big problem for him though.

GGGs pretty good at wrenching his opponent out of a clinch. See the bigger stronger Murray. He uses his head and everything.

Booth should do an English versions of Bread's mailbag. I'd read that.

Forget the physical advantages and attributes, Golovkin is probably the better/more skilled boxer on top of everything. If they were the same size I would still have Golovkin knocking him out.

Oh well, ****** fight and I'd love to see brook with the upset to get this hype job out of here. Even friends who are triple asswipe fans are hoping brook wins just out of how ****** this fight is anyway

You have friends that are GGG fans?

Besides that thought being just laughable, the fact that these fans want to see their fighter get beat just sounds ridiculous. Do you have any friends that are Canelo fans? Do they want Smith to win for the same reason?

Guess people forgot how Brook got shook up pretty good by Carson Jones. Brook will have his moments to start but I see him getting his face reddened, lumped up and broken down gradually just like any other GGG opponent. I don't think Brook will lay down in front of his fans so he will get points for that especially if he is able to last for 12 rds which would be a victory in itself
