What will decide whether this is going to be a blow out or a real contest is how Kell deals with Golovkin's power. Movement, jab - Brook has a great jab - and speed will be his main assets.
GGG's body punches will be a big problem for him though.
He outboxed stevenson and Lemiuex.....he got hit clean a few times but he hasnt been in their with guys who reputed punchers.
Lemieux nor stevenson have knocked out any contenders, just no names and club fighters.
He "may" have a great chin but it isnt tested like many other fighters.
If he had a fight on his resume like Thurman vs Porter, or Vargas vs Salido, a fightwhere he takes some punishment vs a good puncher then Id see what you mean.

Booth is right. Brook just doesn't hit hard enough but he is a strong guy and if he can impose some of that strength on GGG in the clinches, he might have the Kazakh second guessing himself.

Whether he gets up before 10 is the question.
But, will GGG rush in like Jacobs did? It's probably true that even if Brook hits GGG with a great shot while GGG is stationary, or walking forward slowly, it won't be enough to hurt him. He will really have to walk GGG into the perfect shot while GGG is rushing in or has his chin sticking out.
So it's not impossible. Brook is strong enough to hurt him with the perfect shot. But in terms of general power, on normal shots, no, he's not, Booth is right.
Well I've never seen GGG "rush in" in any fight and after reviewing his fights closely I noticed that Brook doesn't counter punch much If at all so him walking GGG into something he doesn't see isn't likely to happen. Even Porter seen every punch Brook threw coming. He is really a basic boxer with basic fundamentals he's just a big welterweight.
Do people even realize that when opponents get hit with the first few hard punches from GGG they go into gun shy and survival mode?? Brook will be no different he'll probably try to dig deep then quickly realize he will get KTFO if he keeps going at that rate and will go into survival mode.
Kell is already admitted he is a bit fearful going into this fight, that's not a good sign.
Brook is no better than Curtis Stevens or Lumieux at MW both them guys beat him. If anything he is like a smaller mixture of the 2.Last edited by Realizniguhnit; 08-09-2016, 09:37 AM.

He only won, one of his belts in the ring, and how can he be top 3 p4p and the man literally has beaten no elite fighters or anyone near top 20 p4p let alone top 10
What other middleweight at 160 has a resume better than GGG? I'll wait..... The guy is a silver medalist and unified champ at 160 but he's a hype job only a fool would believe that.

In the olympics knocked down Bute with headgear on, beat Andy Lee, Matvey Korobov, Andre Dirrell. Hype job??????????

its called negotiating, thats what kills the fight moreso than this guy being feared or ducked
amatuer results dont count in the pros...that just shows how crap his resume is when you bring up the amatuers
he is a hype job......look at his resume.....then look at Danny Garcia, Bradley, Kovalev, Ward, Chocolatito, Bud, there are over a dozen fighters who deserve more hype than this guy because they actually take risks and have taken risks
GGG knocks out no names and you think its the best thing since sliced bread.

you can be a good fighter and be a hype job and thats what he is until he stops fighting welterweights and people we have to google like Dominic wade
after he trashes Brook, do you really expect him to fight a top 5 middleweight? he wont, he'll fight someone who we dont know and then you guys will be making excuses again. He wont be stepping up until he fights canelo...mark my words
