As a Ward fan it's a bad fight

Ward entire career is pointless don't you think?
A true champion is willing to face adversity and challenge someone in his own backyard Ward has never been good enough to do that, Ward has always been the favourite in his fights because he has everything his own way.
I think Ward fans get very touchy, sensitive when people tell them about how average he really is no real world class fighter would have to clinch your best fought opponents to get a win its just absolute desperation tbh.Comment

God forbid If he does that again I'm done with him If he does that I've refused to watch his last three fights but If boxing allows another horrible show like that to happen again without DQing him it will show how corrupt this sport still is.Comment

he's fighting hte best 175 lber in the world, and a p4per, after this one. you gotta complain about that, too?
hbo, ward's team, nobody cares about what you think about his tune up fight. it functions to keep him busy and injury free before he fights a naturally bigger guy who is one of the best punchers in boxing.

if you think ward was close to getting disqualified against kessler, or that a DQ qould have been deserved, you have no business watching a boxing match. fanboys have tried to create a narritive that ward was fouling all night. in reality, both he and kessler were doing the holding by the end of the fight, and the cuts didn't open until kessler was already insurmountably behind on the scores.
disgrace doe. that narrative has been created by people who were embarassed by how badly kessler was taken apart.Comment

Is this a "narrative"?

Trying to pass it on and blame Kessler... Ward constantly came in with his head to clinch, he should have been DQed but he wasn't because once again bias prevails over in the States.
Ward clinches to make up for his lack of true boxing skills I'm telling you in a clean fight Ward would likely have got beaten to a pulp by Kessler, GGG is more talented than Ward.Last edited by M Bison; 08-06-2016, 07:25 AM.Comment

watch the fight again and tell me all fo the clinches were intiated by ward.
as for he head clashes, i never said the guy was perfect. there were head clashes, and there were cuts.
i have said that head clashes aren't an indispensible part of ward's game, and havent' been a factor in most of his wins. you guys seem to think he needs to hold onto people for dear life and headbutt to win. he doesnt! watch the fights! andre ward actually tries to keep his hands free inside. he clinches, but he doesn't want a ref to break. it's within the rules to punch when you've got a free hand. kessler was doing a lot of holding himself.
i did say that headbutts had nothing to do with the outcome of the fight, as it was very obvious by the first cut [7th round IIRC] that kessler couldn't touch ward, and had lost every round.Comment

Lmao how can you even defend Ward for what he did?
