the irish lad was one of the worst robberies of the olympics whereas there is not even a debate that shakur won, he clearly lost.

      They were both close fights.

At least Shakur have credit to his opponent.

You obviously have a hard on for Americans. Did one of us steal your girl?

          • I think Robeisy should win the Val Baker trophy because he had 5 fights. Beat the # 2 and # 3 fighters from the world championships last year and he beat them easily. Faced a good Chinese fighter, beat him easily. Faced a tough Moroccan, it was a split decision but a clear one. Beat Shakur Stevenson who was well rested and is a great talent with great size and speed. No other gold medal winner has had 5 bouts and faced tougher opposition than Robeisy

I would actually give the Val Baker to Vasily Levitt had he been given the win over Tishenko as he beat the # 1 and # 2 fighters rom the world championship last year, but he was robbed of the gold so I can't give it to him.

Zoirov, Dusmatov, Yeselinov and De La Cruz looked unbeatable but their competition weren't as great as the competition of Levitt and Robeisy and they each had 1 fewer fight.

I agree conlan got robbed horribley but at the end don't matter much cuz Ramirez was gonna school both anyway.

I would understand this reply if I claimed robbery, like you do for almost every fight involving a Cuban, but there was a lot of people that agreed with me.
The majority of people gave round 1 to Melikuziev. Round 2 was closer, but I saw more people slightly give it to Melikuziev, but it could have gone either way. Round 3 to Lopez.
Close fight. I thought Bektemir did a little bit more, but no robbery. Fight got sloppy towards the end.
Of course you are really predictable, so you probably thought Lopez dominated.
Melikuziev did better than he did at Worlds. Bektemir knew more or less what he had to do since their first fight. In their first fight Lopez easily won the first two rounds, but Bektemir come on strong in the last. Bektemir basically tried to start this fight off like he ended the first one.

                      That's a great list.
If Zoirov beats Aloyan it has to be between him and Dusmatov.
I think Dusmatov and Zoirov were more consistent than Ramirez.
If Zoirov loses then surely Dusmatov has to get it.
All three definitely had tough roads. I think Dusmatov handled his opposition the best. That guy didn't lose a single round in my opinion.
Zoirov could steal it from him depending on if he beats Aloyan and how he beats Aloyan. Zoirov would have victories over Aloyan (2x World Champion), Finol (2015 Pan American Games Bronze), Mamishzada (2015 World Champion), Vargas (Pan American Games Champion), Irvine (2015 European Games Silver). That is super impressive.
I think it's going to end up being between these two. That's if Zoirov beats Aloyan.
Dusmatov didn't lose a round against guys like Joselito Velasquez (2x Pan American Games Champion), Birzhan Zhakypov (2013 World Champion, 2005 World Championship Bronze medalist and has defeat Zoirov at least 3x in the past; to be fair Zhakypov defeated Dusmatov in the past as well but via Split decision and in Kazakhstan), Nico Hernandez, Yuberjen Martinez (who was one of the most impressive fighters of the whole tournament).
This is going to be tough. If Zoirov loses then I don't think anyone outperformed Dusmatov. Even if Zoirov wins Dusmatov still has a strong argument.

If Robeisy closed out the final better he would be an even stronger contender.
Stevenson is good but had Robeisy pushed a little bit more he would have won even more impressively. The Hamout fight also hurts Ramirez a little bit. Hamout is a tough guy but in my opinion he was lucky to get the decision in his previous fight.
