I wonder how the teams will look 4 years from now.
Cuba has a lot of guys that are pretty young guys. I think most of them have a good age to comeback, but I'll be shocked if the team stays the same. Some will comeback. Some will be replaced.
Will Russia finally give their real talent the opportunities? I doubt it. They will keep giving guys Tishchenko and Nikitin the opportunities.
How will Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan look 4 years from now?
Can Ukraine make a comeback?
Great Britain? Ireland? France?
Some interesting questions.
I also wonder how the weight classes will look post Olympics.Last edited by HI-TECH Boxing; 08-21-2016, 10:21 AM.

I think Zoirov should win but who knows if they rob him. Or maybe Aloyan will win a fair fight. Aloyan is not the same fighter though.
I have to go with Yoka because I think no matter what Yoka will get the decision. Before the Olympics I predicted Gold for Joyce so I wouldn't mind seeing that happen.
I think Zoirov should win and depending on how he wins he is a very strong contender for the Val Barker trophy. I think it'll be between Dusmatov and Zoirov; and maybe a few others.

until now i have only followed the olympics, WSB and some of the world championships (basically whatever boxnation televises), but i'm interested in following amateur boxing more closely from now on

Usually AIBA streams the Youth and Junior World Championships.
Lomachenko really spoiled me. I have never seen a 15 year old look the way Lomachenko did. Now I'm expecting a Lomachenko or a Rigo at every Olympics, but unfortunately no.
Robeisy Ramirez is a great talent but I think he's a few steps below those two.
Do you think Pat McCormack or someone like Muhammad Ali will stay four more years?

The only thing is that most of the talent never develops properly, so it's a big disappointment when they don't end up becoming anything. Or sometimes they just simply don't get the opportunities. Especially Russia. Their young talented fighters always disappear and we then get guys like Tishchenko and Nikitin.

i think pat mccormack wants to try again in 2020 along with his brother luke who narrowly missed out this year, but i imagine he might change his mind when hearn or warren comes calling

Wow, just caught the Claressa Shields final. Completely outclassed Fontijn and staggered her a few times. Super relaxed and great defence.
