Not mad, I just don't like it when they try to make Ward into something he's not.

    He's no role model
    No son of god
    He's entitled
Likes fighting bums when there are better options
    He is chinny
    He has stamina issues
    He's not better than Kovalev

Tune in November to get a rude awakening.

Anyway, Ward is excellent defensively. He knows how to avoid shots on the outside and he knows how to smother on the inside and take steam off your shots, which is what he did with the people you mentioned. And I don't rate Barrera as a power puncher but if Kovalev clocks him like that, he's in trouble.
Boone dropped him in a entire different decade, in his 7th pro fight over 10 years ago and i do too much...YOU ARE REACHING....when was the last time ever saw him buzzed or near being dropped since then?

Khan is what you call chinny

Rigo can be called chinny since he has been dropped and hurt several times

      terry norris was chinny

tommy hearns was chinny....hurt stopped and dropped often

      floyd patterson was chinny

Ward....not so much...prove is in the pudding...he has only been dropped one time in his career and is hardly ever on spaghetti legs or ***** street

Khan isn't chinny, he has no chin period. Trinidad was chinny at 147. There's a difference to me.

But anyway, you're entitled to your opinion. I've seen Ward dropped before and I saw him hurt by someone I wouldn't rate as elite or a good puncher. I think he has great recuperative abilities, is tough and is excellent defensively. Those alone compensate for the deficiency but it's there, whether it happened five years ago or two months ago.

What I got out of reading this thread is that Ward has no weaknesses at all. He's going to have his way with Kov on the inside and the outside and Ward's steel chin will eat every single Kovalev punch

dude got dropped one time in a 12 year pro career and he is chinny?.....thats all i need to know....hell everyone is chinny by your standards...if thats what you call chinnny I can only imagine who you think has a glass jaw.

it wasnt five years ago or months ago....it was 11 years ago....he was a kid, a 21 year old novice who got clipped in his 7th pro fight...plus it was an uppercut, the shots you dont see are what drop you. He has been hit hard plenty of times since then and hasnt been on ***** street or near being dropped or stopped.

you must not know much about darnell boone...He can crack, whether he is an elite fighter or not. He ktfo stevenson, and hurt many fighters who went on to become elite

LOL. He was also rocked in another fight, post-Boone. I've seen nearly all of Ward's televised bouts. It was those two instances that led to his handlers pretty much taking him off TV for a long portion of his career.

naw.....read the interview JDJ had with fighthype I posted

he keeps talking about ward being chinny but seriously....the man has only been dropped once and hasnt been near it or close to being stopped since

                sounds like reaching to me

as a trainer you'd think he'd have some tactical comment to say...all he had was chin, pressure and powe. Their is more to boxing than just that. At the top level you better have a game plan

its easy to say pressure until you are getting clocked upside the head

you have to apply the power at the right time and spot.

I agree with your general notion, but why would a trainer talk about more tactical things and possibly put out their gameplan for everyone to hear?

chinny fighters get dropped and stanky legged bro....Ward hardly ever gets buzzed and regroups fast

its one thing to say Kov can knock him out, its possible, but in no way can you label a guy chinny who has only been dropped once time and doesnt get rattled often

if you saw his fights, like you say you did, you wouldnt call him chinny

as you said, trinidad was chinny, he got dropped often...patterson did too....Junior Jones was chinny, hearns was chinny....even JMM for all his heart became chinny towards the end of his career and could be dropped(i think it was more a bum leg) but still...I dont see Ward being chinny.

That's your opinion. Ward doesn't get hit anywhere near as much as those guys you mentioned. So those things stand out. And yes, I've seen nearly all of his televised bouts. I'm supposed to share the same opinion as you? Grow up.
